Met Gideon Adlon at WA Summer Con, such a kind first con experience

I met Gideon Adlon, the voice of Devon Izara, at Washington State Summer Con, and she was honestly so nice.

She told me it was her first con, which made the moment feel even more special. We talked a little about Maul: Shadow Lord and about her working with Wagner Moura, the Brazilian actor who voices Captain Brander Lawson. Since I’m also from Brazil, that part was really cool for me.

She was super kind, easy to talk to, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. It made me even more excited to keep watching Devon’s role in the series. Always great when a Star Wars meeting becomes a good memory in real life too.

First time playing Squadrons, and now I can’t stop

I bought Star Wars: Squadrons last month, but I only started playing it this week on PC, and honestly… I can’t stop.

At the beginning, it was a little difficult for me to understand how to properly control and stabilize the TIE Fighter and the starfighters. I kept fighting the ship more than the enemy. But once I started to understand the dynamics, the movement, and the way the ships respond, it became much easier and way more satisfying.

I also really loved>! seeing General Ackbar again. It is always a surprise to see how he is somehow involved in another important part of the Star Wars lore.!<

One thing that impressed me a lot was how careful the developers were with the details. Even things like the position of the sun during space combat made the battles feel more real and cinematic.

But for me, the best part will always be jumping to hyperspace. No matter how many times I see it, it still feels amazing.

I’m still new to the game, but I’m really enjoying it so far. Any tips for a beginner pilot?

I met Timothy Zahn at Summer Con WA 2026 and got the Thrawn Trilogy signed!

I still can’t believe this happened.

I met Timothy Zahn at Summer Con WA 2026, and I brought home something really special: the Legends Thrawn Trilogy, the trilogy that introduced Mara Jade for the first time.

He signed the box and each book, which already made the whole thing unforgettable, but what made it even better was how kind he was. He really listened to me, and when I told him I’m from Brazil, he said he had visited my country twice and loved it.

This felt like one of those moments I’ll remember forever. Meeting the author behind Thrawn, Mara Jade, and so much of the Expanded Universe history was honestly a dream come true.

Now this trilogy is definitely one of the most special pieces in my collection.

A dream come true: I met Dee Bradley Baker today.

Yeeyyy, I drove 1h15min to meet him!

I was so nervous, hands sweating, but it finally happened!

He saw my clone force 99 funko and he said with Wrecker’s voice, The bad batch hmm?

Then he started to write the quote I asked, "Did you miss me? How touching..." in the meanwhile I was sharing my star wars journey, the bad batch, when I learned that he was the guy behind all the clones voices.

Then when I finished talking he said in Crosshair’s voice, How touching... and smiled! Looolll I had to hold on the table to not drop on my knees!

I don't care sharing my picture, I was so happy, I still so happy, I was seating on my car and thinking about the moment. He was so so so nice and a wonderful smile. I loved meeting him!

Crosshair really is a “coiled snake” in Tipping Point

I was rewatching Tipping Point, and I kept thinking about how Dee Bradley Baker once described Crosshair as a “coiled snake.” That description fits him so well, especially in this episode.

There is that moment when the stormtrooper pushes Crosshair. Crosshair turns immediately, and for a second his whole body language changes. He looks like he is about to strike. Not just argue or glare, but actually fight. He almost “pumps up,” like all the anger and instinct are right there under the surface.

But then he stops himself.

What makes it more interesting is that earlier in the same episode, something similar happens with Howzer. A stormtrooper pushes him, but Howzer just lowers his head and takes it. He is still resisting in his own way, but his reaction is very different. Howzer holds himself back by enduring it. Crosshair holds himself back by forcing the violence down.

That contrast says a lot about both of them.

Howzer feels like a soldier trying to survive without giving the Empire an excuse. Crosshair feels like someone who is barely keeping himself from snapping. He is controlled, but not calm. He is quiet, but not submissive.

I think that is why Crosshair is so compelling in this episode. Even when he is weak, exhausted, and captured, he still feels dangerous. The Empire can restrain him, hurt him, and push him around, but he never really feels broken in the same way.

What moment made you feel the most like an actual commando?

One thing I really love about Republic Commando is that it does not make you feel like a Jedi or a one-man army. It makes you feel like part of a squad.

For me, some of the best moments are when everything is chaotic, but Delta Squad still feels organized: setting someone on a sniper position, ordering a breach, reviving a squadmate under fire, placing charges, or holding a room while enemies keep coming.

But i really enjoyed just hearing Delta Squad talk to each other during missions?

The game is old, but that squad system still makes it feel different from most Star Wars games. You are not just shooting enemies. You are moving with your brothers, giving orders, surviving together, and trying not to lose anyone.

Not necessarily your favorite mission, but the moment where the game really made you feel like part of Delta Squad.

I bought this secondhand and only just realized it’s signed

Today I decided to finally start cataloging my Star Wars books in my spreadsheet, and I had a very nice surprise.

I usually buy most of my books from Goodwill, Half Price Books, or Value Village, so sometimes I grab them because they look interesting or because the edition looks nice, then they sit on my shelf for a while. I already thought this copy of Trials of the Jedi was beautiful from the outside, especially with the sprayed edges, but today I opened it properly and realized it’s a numbered limited edition, signed by Charles Soule.

It’s number 374 out of 1,000, which I definitely did not notice when I bought it.

I haven’t read this one yet because I’m still finishing The Clone Wars series before moving deeper into more Star Wars books, but now I’m even more excited to get to it.

Has anyone else found a signed or special edition Star Wars book by accident?

When did Republic Commando start feeling darker for you?

I’ve been thinking about how Republic Commando slowly starts feeling much darker than a normal Clone Wars game.

At first, Geonosis still feels like a military operation: clones landing, droids everywhere, objectives, explosions, the usual chaos of a battlefield. But even there, the game already shows you clones getting killed. It is not just clean action. You are seeing the war actually taking bodies.

Then the Acclamator makes it much worse. That mission feels like the tone changes completely. You are walking through a Republic ship that should feel safe, but instead it is full of dead clones. Some of them are badly mutilated, with body parts cut off and blood around them. There is even that garbage airlock full of clone cadavers, and it makes the Trandoshan attack feel more like a horror situation than a normal battle. The moment we see they taking Sev... you see the whole thing.

Kashyyyk also has that same heavy feeling, because you see dead Wookiees everywhere. They are huge, strong warriors, and still they were slaughtered. It makes the invasion feel brutal before you even think about the gameplay.

For me, the Trandoshan sections are where the game really changes. They feel more personal, more violent, and more uncomfortable than fighting droids. The droids are fun to destroy, especially B2s and droidekas, but the Trandoshans make the game feel meaner.

Which separatist did you enjoy fighting/killing the most in Republic Commando?

I was thinking about the different enemies in Republic Commando, and I’m curious which ones people enjoyed fighting the most.

For me, I think I enjoyed killing the Trandoshans the most. Not necessarily because they are the most fun mechanically, but because I really hate them. They feel brutal, nasty, and personal in a way the droids don’t always feel. Also, in my own Bad Batch fanfic, Trandoshans are the main opponents, so I already have extra hatred for them.

That said, fighting B2 super battle droids and droidekas is also really fun. B2s feel heavy and satisfying to take down, and droidekas always make the fight feel more dangerous because of the shields and pressure they bring.

I think there's some more enemies that I am forgeting, like the scavenger droid.

Sorry for the low quality on the images, I had to reinstall the Linux in my PC and I lost all my screenshots from the game, and I had to get some images from the starwars.fandom.com

Who do you think actually came up with Clone Force 99’s skull logo?

I was thinking about the Bad Batch skull logo, and I don’t really imagine one of them just saying, “Hey, let’s create a logo for our squad.”

It feels more like something that happened naturally over time. Maybe Wrecker painted a skull somewhere because it looked cool or intimidating. Since he is the one always collecting B1's heads maybe he came up with the idea. Of course the skull don't belong to the B1 droid, it's just symbolic.

First time meeting Dee Bradley Baker. What are your experiences with him?

It's my first time meeting a celebrity and also paying for autograph. I know it sounds silly but I am getting so nervous... I love his work, all the "life" he gave for each clone, especially TBB.

Please share any experience you had with him or any tips. I will have just a few minutes and don`t want to waist it.

I will ask him to sign my Funko Pop! Star Wars The Bad Batch 5-Pack

That's what I always said, the Jedi's are the ones who always get the glory.

Scorch "Why do we always get the tough jobs?"

Taun We presenting each Delta

"62 The heart and soul of your team."

Do you think the kaminoans worked on their behavious like that on purpose? Or each behaviour was just each one developing in a different way like we have seen in all clones, also like the bad batch

Which mission you most enjoyed playing? Geonosis, Assault ship or Kashyyyk?

I really enjoyed Geonosis. Seeing other clones fighting, the ships, took me back to the Clone wars show.

Sev: "I love that crunchy sound they make when they die."

Playing the Assault ship and Kashyyk made me feel real sad seeying the clones and all those wookies dead. But I REALLY enjoyed killing the trandoshans.

Scorch: "Hey! I didn't know Trandoshans could fly!"
