People into AI where are you? Call out, let's break the cycle...

Hey guys I am 21M, a final year student, doing my internships in bangalore.

I want to connect with fellow people who are into AI and building products.

I am based out of HSR and Koramangala. I don't know anyone that is into AI.

So I wanted to call out you guys, and connect.

Anyone F or M or any age, use this comment section or Dm. Let's connect with each other.

Maybe host a discussion on Saturday or Sunday building products together in the Bhive workspace.

Tired of applying internships/jobs even if we know how to build products, so let's come on build our own products, break them, market them.

Let's build our own hustle...

Let's break the system.

Let's grow together 💪

Planning to buy a bicycle instead of scooter

Guys I am from tamilnadu, doing my internship in BLR

I have a scooty in my hometown (tamilnadu), I can drive my scooty all the way from tamilnadu that is not an issue

But just now I got an idea, why don't I get a second bicycle

I can move around the city, it is healthy, no need to worry about fuel, no need to worry about cops pulling over

I see more advantages than disadvantages, I can keep up in the city traffic, you know how BLR traffic is. Even if you have a super bike, I can over take them inside this traffic

What do you think about this ?

SF startup refferal rant

Bro where do I even start.

See i am 20M i worked in a company in bengaluru, it was a 2 month internship.

So after that I went to my hometown for exams, then the ceo of the company asked me to send my resume like he is referring to his friend.

He is working as a founding engineer in SF, so he wanted to start a company or build a SAAS on his own, so he wanted me to join him.

Everything went fine, then one day he asked that his company is fundraising and asked me what is my plan was after this internship. Like he said i worked really well and he wants to recommend me to his company that he is working as a founding engineer in SF

THEN.....

After a few days an engineer from that got me connected with gmail, and he hopped on to the gmeet.

Man it was last month around this same time

It's been a month, dude the process is really slow, then after 3 weeks of back and forth and multiple follow ups from my side, they sent me an assignment.

That assignment was building their whole app man.... F#ck.....

But after a week of sleepless nights and made that completely and prepared a loom video and sent them

Dude they didn't even watch the loom video ..

Then i got frustrated, and started applying elsewhere

Then I got a company, the pay is what not i expected it is around 30k, i wanted 40k atleast and they want to build voice agents

Dude i said this everything to SF guy and my refferal guy, they just asked me the availability for the next few days and left....

Then i got no reply man, it is a month of work and waiting for nothing

Atleast they should say no right that they are is no hiring at the moment, they gave me a f#ck whole assignment pretty much their whole company, i completely the whole thing

There is no defined timeline bro.....

I did what I can do from myside perfectly

What do you think, should I wait or move on to the next company

What do u think i should do now 😭

20M doing a remote job, no friends in BLR

Hi guys, I am doing a remote intern in Bangalore. I am working in a workspace. I don't have any friends to hangout or even to talk, share about things.

How do you guys actually find friends outside. I have no idea, in my workspace, I give a Lil smile to someone and not more than that.

Everyone is carried away with their work and I don't want to interfere or disturb them. That is what I am thinking...

Please guys don't say that, I am having a remote job so do it in my hometown. I want to be independent and explore outside of my hometown.

I am just looking for a genuine connection with people in BLR. To talk share and explore the city.

Do you guys have any idea?

My cold email open rate is 80%. My reply rate is 0%. Bangalore startup people, how did you actually get in?

I've sent 40+ cold emails in the last few weeks. Personalized. Research done. No copy-paste garbage. Subject lines that don't say "Opportunity" or "Collaboration."

Open rate? Great. Replies? Two. One was "we're not hiring right now." The other was from a founder who thought I was a recruiter and asked me to send him candidates.

So I'm done taking advice from LinkedIn posts written by people who got hired in 2019.

I want to know how people in this sub actually got into a Bangalore startup. Specifically:

  • Did cold email/DM ever work for you, as the sender OR the one receiving it?
  • If you're a founder or hiring manager, what made you actually reply to a random message? What kills it immediately?
  • Where are roles even posted for early-stage companies? Wellfound? Cutshort? Some WhatsApp group I'm not in?
  • What actually got you the offer, resume, project, referral, or just right place right time?

I'm a full-stack + AI dev, not looking for "keep applying bro" energy. Looking for the real playbook from people who've done this recently.

Drop your story. Even a short one. Especially if you got in without a referral because I currently know zero people.

Targeting AI intern/engineer roles at Bangalore startups, honest feedback on my resume + questions about how these interviews actually work

Hey r/bangalorestartups,

I'm a CS student currently based in Koramangala, actively looking for an AI intern or early engineer role at a startup here. I've been working as a Software Engineering Intern at TechKareer (Jan 2026 - present) building AI systems multimodal interviewer with Google ADK + Gemini Live, LangGraph agents, hybrid RAG pipelines, that kind of stuff.

Before I start applying aggressively, I genuinely want to understand how Bangalore early-stage startups actually interview, not the generic advice, the real process.

Questions for founders/hiring engineers here:

  1. What do you actually look for in an AI intern/early engineer candidate? Is it the tech stack, the projects, the ability to explain what you built — what filters people out fastest?

  2. What does your interview process look like? Is it just a founder conversation + take-home, or do you run structured rounds?

  3. Do you test DSA? If yes, what level? easy LeetCode, system design, or straight up "build this thing"?

  4. Honest take on my resume, would a seed/Series A startup look at this seriously, or is something missing?

Not looking for validation, looking for honest feedback. If something on the resume is weak or the positioning is off, tell me straight.

Thanks

Building a Job Recommendation Engine using Memgraph/Knowledge Graphs — Skip straight to GNNs or start simpler?

Hey everyone,

I’m currently building a job portal project and looking for architectural advice on the recommendation engine piece.

What I have so far:

  • Resume Ingestion Pipeline: I've built an enrichment pipeline that extracts deep context from user resumes (skills, projects, implied domain expertise, parsed career trajectories).
  • Database: This enriched data is stored as a Knowledge Graph in Memgraph.
  • Job Ingestion: I'm scraping YCombinator jobs daily and parsing them.

The Goal: I need to build an intelligent matching system to recommend these scraped YC jobs to users based on their resume graph.

I’ve been reading up on LinkedIn’s recommendation system architecture, specifically their LiGNN (Graph Neural Network) framework. While representation learning via GNNs sounds powerful for graph data, I’m worried it’s massive overkill for my current scale, not to mention the cold-start problem with freshly scraped jobs that have no user interaction signals yet.

For those who have built recommendation systems or worked with graph analytics at scale: Should I avoid jumping into GNNs initially? What’s the optimal baseline architecture for matching a rich knowledge graph against cold, scraped text data?

Appreciate any insights!

[BTM Layout] Looking for a PG with actually stable WiFi and Power Backup (Budget: <10k)

Hey folks, I am 20M, moving to BTM Layout soon. I've seen the generic lists, but I’m looking for a spot that specifically caters to people who spend a lot of time on their machines.

My Must-Haves:

Reliable Internet: Not just 'WiFi available', but something that doesn't drop during a 2 PM sync.

Power Backup: Essential for BTM's occasional mood swings.

Food: Looking for a place where the mess actually cares about hygiene (North/South mix preferred).

If you're staying in a place in BTM 2nd Stage that doesn't feel like a jail cell and fits under 10k (sharing is fine),

please drop a recommendation!

Best area to live as a bachelor

Hey guys, I am in tech, I am earning like 30k per month as a intern. I am looking for a place where the pg are affordable, and have a good co working like "Bhive" nearby.

The pg should be below 10k, with a good place and vibes to explore too.

Can you suggest any places other than HSR ( I am currently nearby hsr sector 6 ).

I wanted to explore and connect with people. And i don't want to empty my pocket...
