BETTRAWIL stands for "but every time they repeat a word it loops" and can be defined as when a video is modified as follows:

Every time a word is repeated, the video loops back to the previous instance of said word. An instance of a word cannot loop more than once to prevent the video from becoming infinitely long.

These can make videos become exponentially longer. An infamous example is of RWappin's animation of Weird Al's "Albuquerque." The video goes from 11 and a half minutes to over 17 hours: https://youtu.be/PYIwnwKLxLE
