Joing for masters after Btech at NIT

So after GATE I was talking to my prof under whom I will do my masters thesis said that he was quite disappointed as very few ppl are interested in research , and almost none in something a bit challenging or unknown. I personally don't like this coz I feel today engineering has become just a fad and a business transaction. The beauty of engineering has gotten diluted. Even my father who is an IIT alumni has said that most students just go gaga over high placements.

India lacks a R & D culture. There is little to no innovation.

Hi so I graduated from an NIT with EEE. I have always been fascinated with outer space and hence working as an intern at URSC , ISRO. I would say finally I got the oppurtunity to pursue astrophysics at IIT indore for masters (Space engineering with Astrophysics). A huge shift tbh. But always wanted it. Lets see how it fairs......

I am joining IITI as a M.tech student for Space Engineering. I have interned previously at IIST and ISRO,URSC. Would love to interact with anyone from that branch

I personally dislike core CSE absolutely. I have grown up between software engineers ,finance guys, quants and business guys (as dad is an software engineer and IIT/IIM) and find those jobs completely unattractive. I am personally in the space sector (satellite electronics) and currently trying to shift to astrophysics. So I am just curious why do guys want CSE ?

Hi I interviewed for MSR EE CSA on 11 th May. Almost a month has passed yet no results ? Anyone has any ckue when is it coming out ?

So hi everyone. I froze the M.tech offer for IITI Space Engineering. I have been working at URSC ISRO in the domain of space robotics and attitude control and have been exploring some new techniques and technologies. I have 1 published paper at IEEE. So will I be able to continue my work in these domains ? I am really eager to coz the technology is quite unexplored and new and has a lot of market potential. I have certain connections at Dassault and IIM Calcutta and IIM lucknow so getting investment won't be a big issue. I have working on this for almost a year and things are finally looking bright and picking up pace. Will I get institutional support ? And which profs should I approach (subs: space robotics , AI hardware and spacecraft control ) . Thank You !

Hey I have my interview scheduled for MS in Control And Automation. Little background : NITian, 2026 passout in EEE, published research work in Space Situational Awareness , ex intern at IIST (Quadvopter modelling and Control) , current intern at URSC , ISRO (Control Design and Dynamics Group), ex intern at IIM Calcutta . How is the branch and coursework ? Can I select my own courses ? I have vested interest in Neural Network based controllers for spacecraft and designing of SLM for spacecraft control . Any inputs and suggestions shall be appreciated.

How will I get to know my result ? Will they give through COAP ?

I applied for UAV (autonomous) and SPASE dept of IITK. I haven't got any call for interview or test? Has anyone ????

Any idea about the release of shortlists and stuff for IIT Indore TA ?
