What's the most useful stat to track how well you're doing?

So much of ball's value doesn't show up on the scoreboard, so what do you look at to track your overall effectiveness? Just raw win rate? deaths?

My grapple hook line automatically retracts and prevents me from double booping. What am I doing wrong?

I'm trying to learn to double boop but my grapple line is cutting me off short like a dog that tries to run past the max length of his leash. I'll shoot my grapple hook past my target, go forward into fireball, hit them and decelerate out of fireball, and then accelerate to try to get fireball again at which point my line jerks me back.

I can't tell you how many video guides I've watched, and they just seem to magically not have this problem. They make it look so simple. I've never seen anyone address this problem before.

PSA: The third hit of Sue's melee is a force push with no cooldown, making her have the most CC out of all characters (5 methods). Her emotes are the only things without CC.

  1. vortex - pulls towards center
  2. force physics - push/pull
  3. shield - slows
  4. melee - push
  5. ult - slows

She is quite literally built like a (phenomenal) tank if they replaced her healing with more health. Do we still have people pretending that this is balanced?

EDIT: It takes exactly 1 second to get off 3 melee hits with her. (Go to the practice range if you don't believe me.) Some people have said that it doesn't matter because it's too slow. 1 second is definitely not slow.

EDIT 2: Her melee CC pushes 5 meters and can be done every second. For comparison, Bucky's uppercut pushes 10 meters and has a 10 second cooldown.

How can I learn to enjoy vanguard? I'm learning groot and not having a good time.

Angela has been the only tank I've vibed with and I got her to lord. She's fun but CC is just a nightmare.

I'm trying to learn a front line tank and it feels pretty lackluster so far. I've spend time on strange and groot and just barely got some experience with mag. Groot has been the most "fun" so far. At best I get a mild satisfaction from using groot's walls to isolate enemies from their healers. At worst I feel like a pinata for everyone's CC.

What is it that you enjoy about tanking? I don't care if I'm bad, I just want to have fun with the role. Thanks.
