Now that Fischer’s report came out that the Nets are unlikely to reach a deal on extension talks with Michael Porter, Jr., what would you do?

Keep in mind, we don’t know if this report is true, speculative, Porter is unhappy, Porter is happy, Porter wants out, Porter wants to stay. We do not know where the snag is in extension talks. It’s likely numbers and not years, but again, that’s speculative. We don’t know.

The full breakdown of the trade is as follows:

Timberwolves acquire LaMelo Ball, Josh Green, and the draft rights to Isaiah Evans (No. 33 pick; from Nets).

Hornets acquire Naz Reid, Mouhamadou Gueye, the draft rights to Matteo Spagnolo, the Timberwolves’ 2033 first-round pick, the Timberwolves’ 2029 second-round pick, the Timberwolves’ 2032 second-round pick, the Timberwolves’ 2033 second-round pick, the right to swap their 2028 first-round pick for the Timberwolves’ 2028 first-round pick, the right to swap their 2029 first-round pick for the Timberwolves’ 2029 first-round pick (6-30 protected), and a 2030 first-round pick swap.

Nets acquire Julius Randle and the draft rights to Joshua Jefferson (No. 28 pick; from Timberwolves).

Bulls acquire Nic Claxton.

The Nets currently have $24.7 million in cap space after signing Keon Ellis, Day'Ron Sharpe, and Josh Minott.

They could spend it, then go over the cap to sign Moe Wagner (room mid-level) and trade for Julius Randle (expanded TPE).

That amount will be reduced if they do any of those two transactions first.

They won't have much time to use it, since they probably can't hold up the four-team Nets-Hornets-Wolves-Bulls trade for too long.

The Nets and Day'Ron Sharpe have agreed to push back the decision on his $6.25MM team option for next season trom Sunday to Monday, according to Brian Lewis of The New York Post. The extra day gives Brooklyn a little more flexibility to decide how to handle Sharpe's contract.

The Charlotte Hornets have guaranteed Moussa Diabate’s contract for next season according to league sources. It was non-guaranteed. Diabate won the NBA Hustle Award this season.
