Fireside Mets on Instagram
Wouldn’t it be funny if they set the win record, made the playoffs and won the WS with Senga as a closer…would be a dream huh? 😅

Bobby Ojeda joining the action.
"He's locking down kind of the lion's share of at-bats over there."
Great article by Danny Abriano. Another head needs to roll.
Andy Green will manage for the remainder
Not to beat a dead horse or anything
>Zack Short played 10 games for the Mets in 2024 and provided a feel-good story for Opening Day. The Kingston native is back with the Mets to fill in as a utility infielder until Francisco Lindor returns later this month.
>The Mets claimed Short off waivers from the Detroit Tigers on Monday, clearing roster space for him Tuesday by designating Vidal Brujan for assignment. It’s not a major move by any means, but it does give the team an infielder who can play multiple positions. They know what they’re getting in the 31-year-old Short.
>A product of Sacred Heart University, Short grew up watching the Mets almost daily. Like Brujan, the 31-year-old is a light-hitting infielder, though his glove may be a bit steadier and he has more speed on the basepaths. Short hit .167 with two RBI and seven walks for 23 games for the Detroit Tigers this season.
It’s hard to think Stearns could have done any worse putting this team together
A group of past their prime out of position free agent rejects were brought in while Nimmo would be the Mets best hitter this year and Pete would be leading the team in hrs
Senger’s back. Alvarez on the IL. (We have two Francisco’s on the IL, lol)
