Left Side Vertical Ruler?

I've only slightly dabbled in - LibreOffice - but there is one thing I noticed - No Left Side Ruler - only a Ruler at the top.

Is there a way to switch the Left Ruler On?

I would use this when I need to create a Label where I only have a limited amount of space.

For example, recently I wanted to Label a USB Thumb Drive for the Zorin OS. Obviously a Thumb Drive is not that big, so I had to make sure the Label fit. Just one example. In this case, having a Left Ruler would have been helpful.

I can live with not having it, but it would be nice if I could turn that feature On.

How Do I Create New Folders and Sub-Folders in Linux (Zorin)?

It is going to take me a while to get used to the New File/Directory System in Linux. Finally did a trial Run of Zorin, and everything looked good, but not having Obvious Lettered Drive, and not being able to figure out how to create and structure New Directories and Folder is a bit confusing.

Keep in mind this was a - Try before you Install - session, but I didn't see any way to create new Directories and Sub-Directories?

What am I missing?

Need DDR3, will DDR 4 work? Del Inpiron 3650. Win-10 Home, Intel i5, 8GB. 1TB HD, ...

I have the above Computer with 8GB of DDR3 RAM. I'm going to install Zorin 18 if I can every get it to work.

However, while 8GB is enough for Zorin 18 Linux, it would be nice to have a total of 16GB. However, I'm having a hard time finding ancient DDR3.

Can DDR4 be substituted for DDR3 or is that a hopeless quest?

I think I have some DDR(?) that I swapped out of my main computer. but among the clutter, I can't seem to fine it.

Any thoughts on this?

!- and ~!- Folders on C:\, D:\, and external Passport Hard Drive

I'm not sure who else to ask relative to this problem.

On both C: and D: drives, I have top level Folders with these names... !- and ~!-

~!- seems to be a back up of !-. The Folders are 100 files totaling 1.54Mb.

The Files all start with - Datann - where - nn - is a two digit number between Data01 and Data99.

There are DOC and DOCX files, PDF files, EX Files, BAT files, XLS and XLSX files, and others.

The DOC and DOCx files all say - Scape Goat Doc File.

The XLS and XLSx file have two cells that say - Dummy Data and ScapeGoat.

Coincidentally, I have an External Passport Drive that also has these Folders and Files.

There is also a four BAT files that all say -

cd %systemroot%\system32

xcopy /S /E /H /Y /C C:\Regshot\BinaryFiles\1234test.exe c:\

reg import c:\Regshot\1234registry.reg

When I look at my C: Directory, there does not seem to be a Folder called - C:\Regshot\... - so not sure what is going on?

The .BAT files are - Data10.bat, Data39.bat, Data68.bat, Data97.bat - does anyone have any idea what this is?

I recently ran a UltraAV Full Scan on the computer with no problems found.

Anybody have an suggestions? I'm not sure who else to ask. If this is NOT the right forum, can you direct me to a better forum?

Rysen 3, Win-10, 16Gb DRAM,....

I'm going to convert an old Win-10 Computer to Linux, but we also have the Secure Boot Certificate problem that needs to be dealt with. Given that installing Linux completely erases Win-10 Data and Partition, will that new install also fix the Secure Boot Certificate problem?

I also have a Primary Machine that is Win-10, and while it will work after June, that doesn't actually solve the core problem.

That Primary Win-10 is also becoming a big headache, so I could convert it to Linux, but I lose a lot of Programs and Data that I would like to keep. Likely Linux will have Substitutes for the Programs and I can back up the Data. But it is still a big loss.

I also have a lot of Emails that I would like to save - Receipts, Legislative, Repair, and so forth - and that complicates things.

For the Moment, let's focus on the New Linux Install and the Secure Boot Certificates. Does anyone know if Linux fixes this?

Not New Incoming Emails, but for Emails that exist in my Thunderbird Program already.

In an older Email Program there used to be a Huge File related to Seamonkey. I could copy that file to a third storage unit. Then installed a new Thunderbird on the a new system, then copy the Huge Seamonkey File from the third device, and used that to replacing the same file on my New Install. BOOM! All my old Emails were there.

I was searching for that same huge email file on my somewhat old Win-10 system, but I couldn't find it anywhere.

Does that file exist and does anyone know where I can find it? And... will what I'm planning work?

I currently have Win 10, but have downloaded Zorin, which I intend to install very soon.

I have a Medium Size Mouse Cursor that is Orange boarded in Black, which I like, but I'm concerned that this might not be an option in Linux.

The question is a bit premature since I haven't installed Zorin yet, but I'm still looking for feedback.

Geo-Locating is complete out of control. I used to be involved in an Inport/Export business. And I need to find products around the world. For example, I would go to Google.AU (Australia) and try to search for Product. But from that search, all the products would come back in the USA. I went to Google Australia because I wanted to search AUSTRALIA.

I contacted Google Support, and tried to explain it to them, but they seemed either too Stubborn or too Stupid to understand that when I search AUSTRALIA I want results from Australia.

This make Google Search absolutely worthless relative to the business I was trying to conduct.

They did not seem to understand that Geo-Locating me was NOT HELPING, if fact it actually prevented me from doing business.

I also go into Audio Forums in the UK and sometimes on Reddit. I was trying to search product in the EU, which for me typically means Germany (for easy searching). I came across a German Audio Website that absolutely refused to give me any information because I clearly was not in Germany. I fired up my VPN and set it to Germany, and only then did I get access.

I this situation, what was the Point of Geo-Location. Not everybody who wants or needs to access a German Website is necessarily in German at that moment. Again, what was the point of locking me out based on Geo-Location.

This is a dead issue because Google sees money and that is all they care about, but they could not comprehend that they were preventing me from doing business.

I'm assuming part of the Geo-Location comes from Microsoft, but to what end.

Again, pointless as it is to talk about it; when I search Australia it is because I'm looking for things in Australia. How does that not make sense to them.

I admit this is more of a rant about Google, but I'm assuming Microsoft plays a part in it.
