Excited for what’s next!

Just acquired my first boat, didn’t have any concerns with the Grenadier being able to tow it but even still I was impressed at how little I noticed a 20’ trailer behind me. Trailer tires are dry rotted so I didn’t exceed 60 mph and I even got 21.1 mpg!!!

Hitch mounted brake light(?)

Has anyone found a quality hitch mounted LED brake light that doesn’t trigger the ‘trailer light malfunction’ warning?

My 3rd (center high mounted) brake light is out and pending a warranty replacement, but I’d also like to add the extra visual (semi-permanently) since I don’t do a ton of towing.

Decided to get the $30 Amazon special, 7 to 4 way adapter + 4 way hitch brake light; it does the trick and I have to admit I like the added strobe to the brake lights but seems like the draw is too low and messes with the turn signals as if a bulb were out. Also the TBM trouble light and chime activate with every push of the pedal and turn signals. I think I could add a resistor but am looking for something plug & play.

Not much more than the title suggests, I just learned this “the hard way.” Doesn’t seem to be problematic but it’s always stressful having the check engine light turn on.
