How to improve my self discipline and stop being weak?
Recently (the last 6 months) I have let myself go pretty much. I allow myself to lose control of the day. I have no control over my diet although I used to take great care of what I eat. I have quit going to the gym with the idea to workout from home during summer heat, but guess what? I have no intention to start the day with the workout.
I work from home and wake up 5 min before my first call and sit in pijamas and work.
I used to be very self disciplined and despised people who live without control of their life. The people who lose temper easily, fat people, general losers. I took a lot of internal pride into being better than them. But suddenly, I feel like I’ve reached the stage where I can just say: “hey, what if I just DON’T do this now and enjoy the day?” and it repeated too many times.
I believe my life got too comfy and I became lazy because I don’t have any challenges and I do not go out off comfort zone. BUT I used to be under a lot of stress and has too many uncertainties before, so this now feels like a “prize” for so much hard work (secured boring job instead of constant hustle, enjoying the food instead of tracking every single bite, treating yourself with quick dopamine rewards instead of sweating in the gym and again “suffering”).
How do I break the bad habits and go back to previously well-organized life? How to I regain motivation to continue constant growth?
Btw I might be mentally burned out, but I have no option to quit my job rn.
Thanks
