Please look at Jasper. He's 12 years old and he really likes sleeping under the bed, even when it's hot, and really big belly rubs. He's the best boy

She is small. But when she wants scritches she lays herself out. Then she becomes very long.
Inspired by a post about bad gym interactions. What's your most wholesome gym interaction? Who are your random gym acquaintances?
I had a really old guy come and talk to me while I was on the leg press. Mildly annoyed that I had to pause my music and ask him to repeat what I assumed would be an unsolicited form check, he just said I was doing great and knee position was perfect. It was just super sweet, and now I think of it every time I leg press. Wholesome.
There's a couple who are in their 60s and I've never spoken to them more than the occasional "nice work" we give each other. It's super wholesome.
What's yours?

Feeling a bit ill but dragged myself to M&S to pick up some supplies & a parcel. Asked the lady on the self checkouts if I was best using the proper checkout so I could pick up my parcel there. She took my trolley, & scanned my stuff for me so I could do the parcel bit and then just come back & pay!
Not sure if she saw I was probably completely green/grey and took pity, or is just great at her job, but it was great customer service, very kind, and I really appreciate it. She sped up my time in there loads by scanning it all through the self checkout herself, which I totally wasn't expecting, then by the time I'd paid she'd been to the locker and returned with my parcel.
She's probably the reason I made it home without having to puke in a bush!
Walking through the park earlier and saw some geese so I greeted them with a cheerful "hello geesey-boops!" Little did I know a tree was obscuring a man sat on a bench a couple of metres away. Now I can never go to the park again in case I see him.
Even ignoring a grown woman talking to geese, I've never said "geesey-boops" in my entire life, I've never heard anyone else say it either, I don't know where it came from, but now I've said it and someone witnessed it.
Anyone tried these? Am I missing something? I'm confused
I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't this! They feel and taste like when I'm desperate for a snack and am being extremely lazy and just lop off a block of plain tempeh straight from the pack.
No additional texture, they don't feel or taste "roasted". I was so excited to find these but I'm super disappointed. Did I maybe get a bad batch?
It's 33 degrees in my flat. I was just getting some fruit out of the freezer and I found a Fab ice lolly!
reddit.comLunch with my Mum - decision paralysis!
ETA: adding the outcome to the top. Based on the many recommendations from you lovely people, I've booked Bubala. I'm really excited about it too. Thank you to (almost) everyone who commented!
I'm taking my Mum for lunch on Sunday, it's not a special occasion but we don't meet up that often. We're both very open minded foodwise, no dietary restrictions, and I'm the foodie.
My current options are:
Firebird, Soho - I love the food here, and I haven't tried their lamb yet, and I can get a 50% discount.
Bubala, Soho branch - never eaten here but hear great things. Can get a 30% discount.
75 at Liberty - 2 options here: afternoon tea is £50pp and they have a special flower theme at the moment. The reviews seem great. And it's Liberty.
Option 2 would be their regular menu which looks great, and that option has an offer which is 25% off menu price.
Would love someone to give me a good reason to choose one of these options, or to discard any, because I've been just stuck on the booking pages of all 3 all day!
I'd really love to hear from anyone who has eaten at 75, and especially if you've had the afternoon tea.
Thanks!

Found this book today that confirmed everything and I thought you'd enjoy it!
Even the text book examples are quite stupid!
Bonus that I also learned wrens are called Troglodytes Troglodytes.
