Got 8 bands on the august IELTS exam, did I do enough?

So I recently received my IELTS report and got an 8 overall, is this enough for universities in US?

Should I go to US?

So I'm a US citizen living in India and completed all my studies in India only, currently I'm in 12th grade and I'm thinking of trying for universities in the US, my parents are supportive (tho it's not like we're loaded) because they are aware of the benefits there as my father worked there for 2 years. I just want you guys' opinion. Thanku!

Do you think I should go to US for higher studies as a US citizen in India?

Which one should I apply to?Cornell or university of Pennsylvania

So I'm confused which ivy should I apply through early decision? Cornell or upenn? These are the ones which are most realistic for me out of all the other ivys and I'm confused whether Cornell have greater acceptance rates in ED or upenn

Has anyone applied for US universities as US citizens studying in India?

Has anyone here applied to US colleges as a US citizen studying abroad (especially in India)?

I'm a US citizen attending high school in India and planning to apply for engineering/computer science programs in the US. Financial aid is an important factor in my college search, so I'm also trying to understand how other students in similar situations managed the process.

If you received a SAT fee waiver, how did your school support you? Did your counselor generate the fee waiver code, and were they familiar with the College Board process? If your school had limited experience with US admissions, how did you handle the counselor-related requirements?

I'd also love to hear about your overall experience applying as a US citizen studying abroad. What challenges did you face? Were there any unexpected issues with financial aid, standardized testing, transcripts, counselor recommendations, or the Common App? What do you wish you had known earlier?

Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
