Scripture of the Day

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

Psalm 34:18 (NIV)

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for being close to us in every season of life, especially in the moments when our hearts are hurting and our spirits feel crushed. Your Word promises that You do not turn away from the brokenhearted. You draw near.

Lord, today I lift up every person who is grieving someone they love. Comfort the mother missing her child, the child missing a parent, the husband missing his wife, the wife missing her husband, the family missing someone whose place can never be filled, and every heart carrying a loss that others may not see.

Thank You for the beautiful memories of those we have loved. Thank You for the laughter, the lessons, the hugs, the conversations, and even the ordinary moments that became precious after they were gone.

Father, when grief comes in waves, hold us steady. When memories bring tears, remind us that love does not become meaningless because someone is no longer physically beside us. When loneliness feels heavy, surround us with Your presence and give us the strength to keep moving forward one day at a time.

Help us to trust You with the questions we cannot answer and the pain we cannot explain. Bring peace to troubled hearts, rest to weary minds, and hope to those who feel lost in sorrow.

Lord, be especially near to anyone who is grieving today. Let them feel Your comfort in a personal and undeniable way. Remind them that they are seen, they are loved, and they do not have to carry their sorrow alone.

Thank You for being our refuge, our comfort, and our strength. Thank You for walking beside us through every valley and for never leaving us when our hearts are broken.

Give us courage for today, grace for this journey, and hope for tomorrow.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the freedom we enjoy and for the brave men and women who have sacrificed so much to protect it. Today, we remember with grateful hearts that freedom has never come without sacrifice.

Lord, Your Word reminds us that there is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends. Help us never forget those who have served, sacrificed, suffered, and given their lives for others. Comfort the families who carry the weight of those sacrifices every day.

Thank You for this nation, for its blessings, and for the opportunities You have given us. Help us never take our freedom for granted. May we honor You in all we do and stand for what is right with courage, faith, humility, and love.

Bless our leaders with wisdom, our families with unity, our communities with kindness, and our land with peace. Heal our nation where there is division. Teach us to love one another, respect every life, show grace even when we disagree, and seek Your will above our own.

Lord, protect those who serve our country today. Watch over our military members, veterans, first responders, and their families. Give strength to the weary, comfort to the grieving, hope to the discouraged, and peace to those carrying wounds that others cannot see.

Above all, remind us that true freedom is found in Jesus Christ. Thank You for the greatest sacrifice of all, the sacrifice made on the cross for our sins, our salvation, and the promise of eternal life.

Thank You for being my light in every season of life. When uncertainty surrounds me, You shine the way forward. When fear tries to take hold, You remind me that I never walk alone because You are always with me.

Lord, help me to place my complete trust in You today. Be my strength when I am weary, my courage when I feel afraid, and my peace when life becomes overwhelming. Let Your truth guide every decision I make and every step I take.

Heavenly Father,

Today I come before You with a humble heart, thankful for Your mercy, Your faithfulness, and the many blessings You have poured out upon our nation.

Lord, teach us to humble ourselves before You, to seek Your face above all else, and to turn away from anything that pulls us from Your will. Let revival begin in our own hearts so that Your light may shine through us each day.

I pray for our families, our churches, our communities, our leaders, and our country. Bring healing where there is brokenness, peace where there is division, hope where there is despair, and love where there is hatred. Heavenly Father,

Thank You for being the Living Water that satisfies every longing of my soul. In a world that often leaves me empty, You alone refresh my spirit and fill my heart with lasting peace.

Lord, help me to seek You first each day. Let Your Word flow through my life like a never-ending stream, washing away fear, doubt, discouragement, and anything that keeps me from drawing closer to You.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the incredible gift of Your grace and forgiveness. Time and time again, You have shown me mercy when I didn't deserve it, and Your love has never failed me.

Today, help me to be patient with others, just as You are patient with me. When I am hurt, offended, or disappointed, remind me to choose forgiveness instead of bitterness. Give me the strength to release every grudge and trust You with every wound.

Lord, soften my heart and fill me with kindness, compassion, humility, gentleness, and love. Teach me to see others through Your eyes and to respond with grace instead of anger. Help me to extend the same mercy that You have so freely given to me.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for loving me with a love that never fails. Your mercy has covered my life time and time again, and I am so grateful for Your grace.

Today, help me to love others deeply, just as You have loved me. Teach me to be patient when it is difficult, kind when it is unexpected, forgiving when I have been hurt, and compassionate toward those who need encouragement.

Heavenly Father,

Lord, sometimes we carry hurts, disappointments, fears, and burdens that harden our hearts. Today, I ask You to soften anything within me that does not reflect Your love. Remove bitterness, doubt, pride, worry, and anything that stands between me and You.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the gift of another day and for the promise that I never walk alone. Thank You for Your faithfulness, Your mercy, and Your unfailing love that follows me through every season of life.

​

Lord, today I choose to place my trust completely in You.

​

There are things I do not understand. There are questions I cannot answer and situations I cannot control. Sometimes the road ahead seems uncertain, and sometimes fear tries to convince me that I must carry every burden on my own.

​

But today, Father, I surrender those burdens to You.

​

Help me to trust You with all my heart and not lean on my own understanding. When my plans differ from Yours, give me the wisdom to follow Your direction. When I am tempted to worry, remind me that You are already working behind the scenes for my good.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the gift of a new day and for the beautiful reminder that You are always at work in our lives.

​

Just as a butterfly emerges transformed, help us to be renewed by Your Spirit each day. Remove anything in our hearts that does not reflect You, and create in us a clean heart filled with love, peace, kindness, and faith.

​

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the incredible gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ.

​

Thank You for the cross, where love was displayed in its greatest form. Even while we were sinners, Jesus willingly gave His life so that we might have forgiveness, hope, and eternal life.

​

Lord, help us never take that sacrifice for granted.

​

Teach us to walk in humility, gratitude, and obedience. Let our lives reflect the love, mercy, and grace You have shown us through Christ.

​

When trials come, remind us that the cross is proof of Your unfailing love.

​

When we feel unworthy, remind us that Jesus paid the price because we are precious in Your sight.

​
