Fish and chips that does the best grilled fish?

King George on pako used to do great grilled fish but I'm hesitant to try elsewhere now that they're gone.

Thanks in advance

Local vegan pastries/ sweet treats?

Anyone know of some local cafes that might have a dairy free pastry item in their display cabinet?

Really hard to google, kind of have to walk into every cafe and ask specifically

(My son's allergic to dairy and egg he'd really like to go to a cafe)

Weightloss after pet boarding?

Hi, our girl Daisy, stayed at a dog boarding kennel for 4 nights while we went away, we got all the premium package for her, doggy daycare for half the day, sent food she liked, made sure the sleeping arrangements were the same as at home

And she came home having lost weight, her collar didn't even fit.

I know she is a very much fear of missing out dog, so would never just take a moment to relax but it made me feel horrible.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Does anybody else find their birthday really hard

It was my birthday today, both my parents are dead. I had a complicated relationship with my mum and was estranged from her for the 6 years before she passed away, I didn't meet my dad til I was 25 and he was on hospice.

Now I'm 32 with no parents, and I haven't really unpacked and sorted through the grief that's undoubtedly just stewing away under the surface.

But my own birthday, it's like a void in my stomach opens up, full of despair, and I am unable to feel happiness.

I wish my parents lived near by, were in good health, caring for themselves, their house and gardens, and I could just pop in and enjoy a cup of tea and a chat.

To make it harder, I share a birthday with my child, so spending the day trying to make it a memorable day for them, all while feeling this way is hard.

I don't have any other family, I have some siblings but they don't live here.

I wish I had family.

Locomotive driver, how to get foot in the door?

Does any one have experience getting into the locomotive industry?

Someone recommended doing a traineeship and ending up with a qualification, but I can't find anything like that advertised, anywhere

I don't know anyone with real life experience so asking here.

I'm located in regional Vic

Thanks

The juveniles are so tame, even my fumbling toddler was stomping around and they just sat watching us from the bird bath.
