Growing out a few siblings from this cross, really liking the first one so far, but excited for all of them! The pap is really pulling through so curious to see how they develop.

Same plant. Similar size in their emergent stage. First is the current emergent leaf, right is the previous. More light and warmer temps have me a deeper purple coloration, whereas the current had less light and slightly cooler temps.

Acquiring as many “unique” lineages of paps as I can (space being a constraint). Definitely one of my favorites.

Bought some cuttings a while back and I didn’t realize how long it would take them to push out new growth (which they are slowly now!) so picked up two Begonia from a friend (@pganthuriums on IG). I normally keep Anthurium, but this is a nice change of space! Wish I could keep them in my grow space but it gets a bit too warm (78-87) so I keep them in my basement (67-73) and they seem to be doing great there! Very excited to watch these grow and hopefully will provide updates as they grow.

The Catasetinae came in moss with packing peanuts on the bottom, moss was bone dry so used some distilled water to rehydrate it, the Cattleya had dry medium and some pretty wild roots so added some water as well. Going to put them in a quarantine tub, treat them for any hitchhikers with insecticidal soap, and then I’ll make sure the Catasetinae don’t go dry and always has some moist moss while the Cattleya goes through a bone dry period before watering.
