People aren't setting off fireworks because they love the USA. They're doing it because fireworks are fun and this is the one time you can get away with it.

If aliens visited Earth and we told them how little evidence we have to base our entire way of life on they'd laugh us out of the solar system

I was watching a doc on Saint Peter's Basilica, one of the most elaborate, ornate, maintained, and visited places on Earth, and the narrator literally says "and here are the bones of a man from that era who was found dressed extremely well, and about the same age as Peter." THAT'S ALL THEY HAVE TO CLAIM IT'S THE REAL ST PETER! THAT'S IT. The religion, the building, the visitors, the guards, the gift shop, it's all based on some random set of bones they just said, "eh this is probably him." Even for a symbolic take, I can't fathom it.

Do you guys "zip" your projects when you archive them?

It just occurred to me I could save hard drive space if I zip my projects when I'm done with them. Just curious if this is a common practice.

The only thing an unpopular character needs is a Pepeday

I've been saying this since SF4 and Pepeday came up. For those who don't know, he was an Fuerte player that came almost out of nowhere and for a short span was almost unbeatable, and he did it with a character that no one else was taking to the top. He didn't do it by playing great street fighter, but by player a great Fuerte, and doing so like no had or ever did in that game. Like Xian with Gen or Luffy with rose. No one could play Fuerte like Pepeday. He figured out the character. He used the strength of the run and the q-bomb. He knew how to set up a quesadilla or get in with armor to throw you. Remember, there are no bad characters in fighting games. It just takes one person to figure out how they work.
