French Cheese Plate Joy

Sainte Maure de Touraine

Tomme de Savoie,

24-month Comté,

Langres

Bleu d'Auvergne

Happiness and great accompanying items, Baguette, Crackers. Chutney & Spiced Walnuts.

(The candle was due to the occasion, it's not standard)

The Sainte Maure de Touraine, Langres and Bleu d'Auvergne were highlights but there were no losers here.

Faces? No way... Buttocks? Not a problem... (Streetview blur)

Added the "moon" flair as this seems appropriate but had to chuckle at the auto blurring of this group of rapscallions on an image that's doing the rounds currently...

(Link is potentially NSFW due to buttocks so be cautious please)

Highland Laddie alternative for the disorganised?

Edit: Bavette booked, thank you to everyone who posted, feel free to keep adding stuff as I love trying new places and the other suggestiins look solid for other opportunities.

Thank you!

..........

I've been wanting to go to the Laddie since it opened but, for various reasons, haven't yet.

I have a milestone birthday coming up and thought I'd go on the 4th of July but I procrastinated too much and they, quite understandably, have no tables.

Aside from Empire where else is good locally that's a bit "elevated classics" like the Laddie without going full V&V?

Nothing too stuffy but something at a kind of "gastro+" level without hitting fine dining if that makes sense?

Doesn't need to be city centre or even Leeds but suburbs is OK.
