40 Days dans le Désert B (New Edition) - personal review

I just had a chance to thumb through the new edition of 40 Days dans le Désert B. It quite bigger than previous editions and as an object looks wonderful but in the end I didn't buy it.

As some of you might know, Moebius drew this on small format notebooks so the new version has enlarged art which was done quite poorly in a sense where curved lines are not smoothly curved but staggered, apologies if I'm not explaining myself well.

It also seems to have fewer pages than the 2019 version.

For these reasons and because I have the 2019 version, i personally decided against picking it up but I would say if you don't have it already it's definitely worth getting it even despite it's shortcomings

After years of waiting...

Finally got one at very reasonable price (£70). It's pristine, I don't think it's ever been played

Started potty training - advice needed

Hi everyone, after a few false starts, we started potty training our 2y 9m yesterday morning and we sort of think it's going relatively well so far but wanted to ask reddit brain for thoughts and advice.

We're following oh crap so she's without anything on bottom half. She's not fighting against sitting on the potty and she had a few successes with her peeing into it and being very pleased about it. She seems to be able to hold her pee quite well and now she's happy sitting on the potty for up to an hour which we're discouraging now. On the other hand sometimes she'll just run around and will just pee herself, and doesn't really tell us that she needs to go even when we ask.

Is there anything we can do better/differently? She's not really into bribery but we do our best to motivate her.

Also, can I please ask how people approach the nursery? Will we lose any progress if she goes tomorrow as i can imagine them having the time or the willingness to do it properly and will likely just put pull up on, or if we should see if we can see if she can stay at home (but I can't see that being a constant thing as I can see this lasting a while)

Many thanks for your help and wish us luck

Extremely shy two and half

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if someone can comment whether this is normal or should I seek advice. Our two and a half is extremely shy with strangers. She will hide her face and will not interact up to a point where she will get upset if we ask her if she wants to say hi, sometimes even if she saw them before many times (like some of our neighbours)

We didn't worry so far as at home with us she's the sweetest cheeky girl, very chatty and engaging, and we know once she warms out to someone she properly opens up (she has best friends at nursery, will engage and initiate play, i.e. she will ask her friend's dad to pretent to be a monster and chase her etc). It just takes her a very long time to warm up to someone.

Until now we just treated it as: this is what she's like and have given her space but I just wanted to ask for your opinion whether that's the right approach? Should we be concerned? Should we do something differently?

Many thanks in advance

Places to take 5 and 10 year old

Hi,

My sister is visiting with her 5 and 10 year old boys for a couple of days so I would like to ask for some advice on where to take them. Older one is into engineering so MOSI is definitely on the list, I've also been planning to take them to zipworld at Heaton Park but does anyone have any other ideas to keep the entertained? Many thanks!

Bluray just arrived and it looks and sounds amazing. Full booklet with lyrics and photos is included. I'm only halfway through my first listen. The track list doesn't mention Black is the new Black but Tori mentions it in acknowledgements so perhaps it's there as a hidden track. I will report back!
