Best AMCs in North Jersey?

Where I live in north New Jersey, I can drive to the following AMCs in 30 minutes, which is about the amount of time it would take me to get into Manhattan anyway:

AMC Clifton Commons
AMC Dine-In Essex Green
AMC Jersey Gardens
AMC Aviation
AMC Wayne
AMC Newport
AMC Ridgefield Park 12
AMC Garden State Plaza
AMC Dine-In Shops at Riverside
AMC East Hanover 12
AMC Mountainside
AMC Rockaway

Plus ones in Morristown or Brunswick that aren’t much farther

Ive been to 3 of these so far, none of which have been bad, but none of which have been great.

“No you don’t understand, the other owners could also try, they just don’t because they’re not incentivized to” You realize this doesn’t make the state of baseball sound any better, right?

There are a bunch of people in this sub who say “Actually the other owners could have gotten Skubal if they wanted to, so it’s not the dodgers fault” as if people are only upset because they have a specific moral crusade against the Dodgers in particular.

I don’t care whose “fault” it is, I don’t blame the dodgers, I just care that this is lame and makes the sport more boring and worse.

So we’re presented with two options. An en masse replacement of most MLB owners with people who are more willing to spend and devote the correct resources. Or a salary cap which will diminish the impact of the owners individual influence over the team. Which one sounds more likely?

Also, obviously dodgers fans are exempt from any criticism over defending this move. I only have an issue with the non-dodgers fan who are still somehow defending the lack of parity in the league

Interested in getting into photography, as soon as I try to take some photographs it becomes clear to me that I don’t even know what makes a good photo

Above are three examples where I was struck by something, wanted to get a good photo of it, but, as I tried to frame it in my camera, I realized I didn’t really have anything but a not-trained intuition to go on as to what would actually make the photo good. I tried different zooms, different angles, different lighting with the night-time one…

So where do I go to learn the absolute basics? What are the basic principles here? I’m very curious and would to learn as a total beginner.

Incredibly disturbing reddit bug involving suddenly having joined dozens of subs I did not join

I really don’t know what kind of problem this even is. But I logged into my reddit account, which I don’t use that often, and saw that my front page was much more pornographic than usual. I then checked the sidebar and saw that I had somehow joined over a dozen, maybe even 20, fetish and porn subs. It was incredibly disturbing, to be frank, and some of the subs were borderline pedophilic.

I don’t know what could possibly have done this. Did someone get into my account somehow? Did wires get crossed between my account and another account?

I’ve unjoined all of them but I still want to address this.

There’s no such thing as “New York New Jersey”. The world cup final is in New Jersey

I promise people from outside of America can grasp the concept of New Jersey if you just give them the chance.

Alternatively, if you’re going to keep pushing this shit, don’t get annoyed next time I tell someone I live in New York even if I live in Newark. It takes me less time to get into Manhattan than most people in Brooklyn or Queens anyway.

So now that it’s been about a month, the ‘26 playoffs were one of the best we’ve seen this century, right?

Every round had multiple great series.

Round one:

- Timberwolves shocking the nuggets despite injuries.

- Orlando almost shocking the pistons only to blow a 3-1 lead

-Celtics blowing a 3-1 lead to the sixers, a team they’ve dominated over the last decade

-CJ McCollum mania Knicks suddenly locking in halfway through the series to become one of the best playoff teams of the decade

-Raptors cavs going to game 7 and Scot Barn looking like the next Kawhi

-Old man lebron going crazy

Round 2:

-Cavs Pistons going to 7 and never really having a clear favorite along the way. Some vintage Harden moments plus vintage harden flubs.

-Spurs Timberwolves having some great moments and Ant returning way before everyone thought

-Knicks continuing the historic tear

Conference finals:

-Historic knicks comeback in game 1 because continued playoff win streak

-Spurs Thunder going to 7 plus an all-timer game 1. Only downside was most games weren’t close.

Finals:

- Probably the most exciting 5 game series ever. Wemby showing that he’s going to be the next best player in the league. Brunson cementing himself in NBA history with one of the best finals close-out performances ever. The comeback. The tip-in.

Probably a lot of this is influenced by my living in New York (even though I wouldn’t consider myself a “knicks fan” in the strict sense) but in over a decade of watching the NBA I think this has to be the most exciting playoffs I’ve ever seen?

What is Mt Prospect Ave (around and north of 2nd) like?

I see some condos on the ave that look very nice, but I’m relatively new to Newark and still get kinda confused by North Newark and where the nice and less nice areas are. I’ve seen some people say the “nice” part of Forest Hills ends on Mt Prospect so I don’t really what that says about the street.

I’m also just asking in general, not any particular thing like safety or grocery stores or transit into Manhattan. Any thoughts appreciated.

How do I hang this mirror?

First picture shows what the mirror looks like. Second isn’t really as helpful, but you can see how much damage I’ve made so far.

After a first, hubristic attempt in which I thought I could eyeball it, I’ve tried measuring, I tried putting a piece of cardboard between the two keyholes and marking the very top center then moving that to the wall , I just can’t get the two screws to match up.

Obviously I am not a natural at this.

Also, the mirror is pretty light, so I’m not too worried about fastening it too tightly.
