Why is it that most barbers in lincoln seems to charge 18 pounds an up for a beard trim...daylight robery i can get this for 8 poubds at home.

So i posted a few weeks ago with regards to wn ting to retrain as a plasterer and ill admit some off the responses here did somewhat make me second guess my self somewhat.
All though i am starting later in life i do still feel keen to learn and try get into the trade however i do find myself disheartend with regards to getting on in a company due to my age 33
Any advice in how to get into the trade in my 30s
Very reluctant to go back into hospitality management
So i am well aware this probably looms god aweful but it is my first attempt and i was admitedly abit nervous.
Is this a trade one can really get into in thier 30s or am i joking myself.
Been working construction jobs for the last few years after 15 in hospitality management.
