Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 vs Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary je

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a standard zoom lens for my Sony FE camera and have narrowed it down to these two:
> Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2
> Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary

I’ve read that the Tamron has better weather sealing, while the Sigma is smaller and lighter. Those differences don’t really matter to me.

What I’m really interested in is image quality and autofocus. Is one lens actually better in terms of sharpness, contrast, rendering, AF performance, and overall optical quality?

Or are they so close that it doesn’t make much difference in real-world use?

I’d especially love to hear from people who have owned or used both lenses.

Thanks!

Looking for advice: Art documentaries?

Hi everyoneLast year my brother and I made a documentary about starting our art business in Bali, Art From Bali. We're heading back soon to shoot new content.

We just upgraded to the Sony A7 IV, but I know the camera itself doesn't make the documentary, now that we have the gear, the pressure's really on us to deliver through storytelling and filming technique. Does anyone have a framework or approach you'd recommend for structuring travel/documentary content like this? Reference video for context: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDtBvzho6AM

I'd also love some honest feedback on our existing documentary if anyone's willing to take a look, what worked, what didn't, anything you'd do differently...

TL;DR: Looking for a storytelling/filming framework & feedback for Bali documentary**.**
