Our playtesters are going WILD with their haunted attraction builds and really blowing us away with the creativity (and somehow accumulating 10 million dollars??). We NEED feedback from Tycoon gamers, and just more playthrough data to help us tune the economy and goals.

AI Disclosure - Bots are for coding. Talented and spooky humans are used for all 3D assets, artwork, voiceover, music and more. We even did motion capture of real scare actors here in Orlando.

ScareZone: Haunted Attraction Tycoon | Announcement Teaser

Happy Spooky Season! I posted here in Haunted Attractions maybe six months ago about this project and, well, its finally coming together. I am so excited to share a sneak peek of ScareZone: Haunted Attraction Tycoon.

Think of it like RollerCoaster Tycoon meets Halloween haunting - created by myself (20+ years of haunting and themed entertainment) as well as a slew of scare actors, voice actors, movement coaches, composers, audio designers and so much more from all across the industry.

Consider an Artist who *doesn't* specialize in Steam...

After several false starts creating Canva logos myself, and lurking the classified subs - I decided to branch out, and found an incredible artist who's vibe matches exactly what we always wanted. However, he has never worked on game or Steam art at all.

It definitely took some extra work and iteration during the design phase, but partnering with an artist who does NOT specialize in Steam artwork is actually paying off for us big time. Not only are we in love with the logo, the artist has a large following in exactly our niche. Our post sharing the new logo is already doing better than anything else we'd tried on our own.

This one-off lets-try-it commission is now becoming a core part of the games aesthetic, including the UI and we're building a longer term partnership with the artist and his audience. Capsule art is up next.

[PAID] QA/UI Tester

Hey folks, I have an immediate need for a part-time paid QA person. I need someone who can play through our game loop and give detailed feedback across the board.

Please drop me a message if you've either worked in game QA previously, have tons of experience with tycoon/sim games, or you're a dev yourself and you have available time for the next 3-4 weeks. Possibly ongoing if its a fit.

Hello haunt nerds! I'm Thoosie - I'm a lifelong scare-actor and haunter with experience at Reign of Terror, Merlin Entertainments, Universal and more. I'm so excited to share my passion project of the past year or so - ScareZone: Haunted Attraction Tycoon. Our page is soft launching on Steam today.

If you've ever found yourself daydreaming about haunt capacity or throughput, plotting scare strategies or sketching layouts on a napkin - this is the game for you. Take an empty warehouse, field, or (dare I say) soundstage - and convert it into your own world of horrors - complete with scare actors, animatronics, and much more.
