I have a stage shift; never done one before. What to expect?

I got an interview the other day and they invited me for a stage shift, said it would only be an hour or two, this week.

I have 6ish years of bar experience and have never had to do a stage. My last venue was a nightclub with no menu, party drinks, etc.

What do I expect? What do they expect from me? I obviously don’t know this places menu and won’t be able to memorize it in an hour. What are they looking for even?

8 Years hospitality, 6 years high volume bartender looking for work.

Hi all, I’m looking for work, preferably a bartending position. 8 years total in restaurant hospitality in server / host / bartender positions. 6 years of those were in a high volume nightclub.

Have been in all sorts of venues — nightclub, family bar & grill, chain restaurant.

Reliable and have open availability. Located in Manhattan but will travel to Brooklyn as well.

Can DM my full resume. Thanks.

Bartenders - what’re you making these days money wise?

Recently lost my corporate job, no luck for months due to bad market and going back to bartending.

Haven’t bartended in NYC since 2018. Interview next week at a mid tier 13-15 dollar a drink place in Brooklyn.

What’re you guys making these days? Is it still liveable as a single job? Trying to manage expectations

27 years old, no savings. How do I catch up?

I’m 27 years old. I have absolutely no savings, and a negative net worth. I don’t know what to do. I don’t know how to catch up.

Income is about 2k to 8k a month depending on the time of year. I’m self employed and summer is slower for me.

I’m 89k in debt. It is mostly student loans with around 7k of it being charged off / in collections credit cards.

I have no 401k, no IRA, no investments, and the only thing in my savings account is my rent for August.

My living expenses are around 2k a month (rent, utilities, etc).

I don’t know what to do. I think my future is screwed because I’m 27 and I have no plan.

I am the disappointing, burnout child.

The rest of my extended family is relatively wealthy, happy, well adjusted. I, somehow, am the only one who ended up like this. It’s hard because nobody understands.

I went to college and got a degree but I don’t use it. I lie, steal, scam and am a stripper to make my money. I don’t care. I don’t feel bad about any of it.

My dad is an engineer and my mom is in sales. Neither of them help me. I’m about to go no contact with my mom because she’s threatening to sue me for not paying my student loan that she’s co-signed on. I told her good luck. She thinks I’m stupid and don’t know how the law works. She doesn’t remember it but she once told me that adopting me was one of the worst things she ever did and she doesn’t understand how I got the way I did.

I think the only thing I have going for me is I don’t do drugs cause I don’t like them

I think I wanna be a nurse maybe but I’d be bad at the people part
