New to the family, need lens advice
Good morning all
My wife has finally decided she's done with phone photography and wants to upgrade to a camera. Her main requirement was size, vintage aesthetics and easy to use so I picked her up a X-M5 with the kit lens. But now I want to get her 2 extra lens for very specific requirements. I have shoy Sony for the last 10 years so I'm really new to the world of X mount.
We are off the Borneo at the end of the year and I want to get her a zoom lens for wildlife, she still doesn't want to lug around anything huge so size is a big bonus. Was looking at either the XF 70-300 or the 16-300 from sigma. I couldn't really find any direct comparisons of the 2 lenses but sigma does seem abit soft. Is the XF pretty sharp? Any other zoom lenses we should look at?
And although the kit lens is pretty small she wants a pancake lens to cruise around with and pocket the camera. Was thinking th XF 23mm 2.8mm but I can see there are a few pankacakes around from 18-27mm in different brands.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
