If you have to read lots of documents, how to do you take notes?

so I'm struggling with taking and organising notes, how are you guys doing it?

like, do you read then highlight?

but then what do you do next? do you, transcribe all the highlighted notes into a document and write? is there a better way?

I'm looking for advice on techniques are any software you guys might be using for this?

i know you might be able to use AI, but my issue is the accuracy, like it wont always highlight the stuff i find relevant or useful.

can anyone help?

Asked to join a business, complex, multiple countries

So, weirdly I’m somewhat very experienced and inexperienced at the same time, want to check and make sure I’m not missing anything

Case-

  1. Founders in Pakistan
  2. Parent company which I will join incorporated in Singapore
  3. Main sales and business operations and revenues in Pakistan
  4. My scope will be South East Asia / international expansion.

So far I have in my head operational considerations like manufacturing and logistics questions. Marketing questions.

But am I’m missing any red flags and what should I be looking for when it comes to the finance and cap table side?

Any comments would be greatly appreciated

Should i donate a kidney? I was asked, i don't know

Note i'm NOT looking for medical advice, i'm asking for a moral prespective.

for a 1st degree half sibling (20s).

heres my facts -

mid 40s, have my own family with a 7 year old, mother aging (divorced)

not much in terms of savings, but we can live, lets just say both my with and i will have to work until we're unable to.

i'm fairly fit for my age but slightly high cholesterol and high on body fat.

i do A LOT of exercise like crossfit/ hyrox, no supplements

I'm just totally torn about if i should do it.

i have no relationship with the half sibling, or the mother (minimal at best).

so i'd only really be doing this for my dad.

my main worry is -

short term what if something happens to me on the OR

mid term - what if i need kidney support? what about my kid? what about my wife? we'd be taking on a lot of risks there right? with limited resources

long term - what if i need dialysis etc?

i'm really stuck

UPDATE - thanks to everyone for commenting, and to those who slapped some sense in to me as well.

being the people pleaser i am, i still dug out my medical stuff to check, asked AI to review it -

TL;DR based on AI reviewing my med files, i wouldn't be a suitable candidate.

Now, my headache is how do i explain this to my dad? (as an aside, i'm kind of resentful he put me in this predicament)

in case anyone is interested - ai analysis of my previous checkups... i am not obese, i powerlift.

  1. Existing Kidney Conditions (Renal Anomalies)

Bilateral Renal Cysts: Your 2024 ultrasound and 2026 CT scan confirm the presence of cysts in both kidneys (up to 1.3cm in the left kidney, and a cyst with calcification in the right kidney).

Donor Impact: Transplant centers generally reject candidates with bilateral cysts or complex/calcified cysts because it makes it difficult to ensure that the remaining kidney will remain completely healthy and free of progressive disease over time.

  1. Metabolic & Structural Health Risks

Obesity (BMI 29.7): Your weight (93kg) and Body Mass Index put you very close to the clinical threshold for obesity. Most transplant protocols require a BMI below 27 or 28, as obesity significantly increases the long-term risk of developing diabetes and hypertension-the two leading causes of kidney failure.

Hyperuricemia (High Uric Acid): Your laboratory results show an elevated uric acid level of 548.9 umol/L (reference range 202-416 umol/L). Excess uric acid can crystallize in the kidneys, leading to kidney stones or gouty nephropathy, which creates an unacceptable risk profile for a donor candidate.

Mild Fatty Liver: The presence of a mild fatty liver further indicates metabolic changes that need to be managed to protect your own systemic health.

Because sitting on a flight is the same is debugging

What I find nuts is the people who really love the idea of 996 are all people who enjoy networking and whose role is to network. So they assume the rest of us all should behave like them.. attention starved extroverts
