God of War Laufey Reportedly Planned Before God of War 2018 Released

Basically as the title says; Laufey has been planned since 2018, and basically the entire narrative of the Norse games was planned with this game in mind. I'm a sucker for dual narrative stuff (think the first two Xenoblade games) so I'm already mad hyped for this.

There's also confirmation that the Cube was also planned from the start, so he's likely gonna end up being someone or something important in the grand scheme of things, and not just your average wisecracking sidekick. If this ends up being wrong, I'll play Balan Wonderworld (provided it doesn't get delisted).

Gaming announcements that felt like massive shitposts

Good: >!The casting announcement for the first Mario Movie having Miyamoto interrupting a Direct out of nowhere, and then cutting to Chris Pratt playing Mario was actual comedy. And it only escalated as they announced each subsequent cast member, but specifically Charlie Day as Luigi and Seth Rogen as fucking Donkey Kong of all characters.!<

Bad: Blizzard's last big announcement for BlizzCon 2018 being them hawking a Diablo mobile game to an audience primarily made up of PC gamers, and the Q&A that followed where you had one attendee asking if "this was an out of season April Fools' Joke" or one of the Blizzard guys responding to the booing with "do you guys not have phones?"

Theory about Origin, Z, elf ears, the spaceship, and the world of Genesis

To get everyone knows out of the world, we saw Origin in the postcredits of Future Redeemed merging both worlds into one, and the world of Genesis seems to be a Dyson sphere of some kind.

We also saw that Z, who was basically created by/within Origin, had elf ears at a time when most other Chronicles characters lacked them save for some Blades. And from the trailer of Genesis, elf ears appear to be a very common physical trait within the world of Genesis.

As of right now, my guess is that when the two worlds merged into one, Origin also merged together with them as a layer of the world. However, instead of creating a normal planet with mantle and core layers, Origin also ended up creating a hollow earth inside of the planet, with the "six suns" being the closest thing it has to a core. And since that hollow earth world is on the inside of what was once Origin, it also created all these people with elf ears, similar to how Z was created inside Origin. The elf ear people therefore aren't humans or any of the subspecies seen in the Chronicles series, but rather imitations of them created by Origin.

Of course, we've also seen people who don't have elf ears in this world. And that's where I think the crashed spaceship comes in - at some point after the Chronicles trilogy concluded, one of the Earthlife Colonization Ships returned to where "Earth" used to be, but ended up crashing into the planet and piercing through the layer separate the combined world from the hollow world. The humans from that ship instead exited onto the hollow world, hence why they're present in a world with elf ear people, and why it seems like the Trinity Cores are present in this world too (namely Malos/Logos, who Takahashi said will have a big role to play in the future).

With all that said, it's probably something trippier than that, but it's the best I could come up with.
