Monster Taming Card Game, spiritual successor to Monster Rancher

I wanted to post this here. Another project that's a bit on my backburner. I've always been super inspired by Monster Rancher and wanted to make a spiritual successor in card game format. it'd be a celebration of the Monster Taming genre as well as an opportunity to collaborate with dope artists! You'll recognize some references to the Monster Rancher roster like Golem, Pixie, Tiger Mew, Niton, joker etc. or some that expand on the concepts of certain monsters. Like the concept of "unity" in ColorPandora seen in the conjoined monster Argeebe.

The Mascot is Rybo(the orange rabbit rat), who's inspired by Moochi, Pikcahu and Agumon all in one. Its the only monster in the series that would have a fusion with every other monster. Above you will see all the main breeds, some of them even evolve. For example the bug(Pyupup) and the sprout (Babeed) both have evolved forms. Similar to how Worm can become Beaclon.

I wanted the monster to be true fusions rather than color swaps , sometimes even developing new characteristics. For example the ape (Rangabang) is more of a seamonkey when fused with the shellfish (Spyvalve).

The card game is a simple Rock, Paper Scissors base that determines who goes first. You call out your move during the battle phase which then has a cooldown turn after use. So you can't consecutively throw out Rock, you have to wait until the turn after the next to use it, UNLESS the move says otherwise. Moves have added effects like jamming other moves, wiping the field, revealing hands, etc. There are also Equip cards and counter cards to add to the strategy. I'd love to come back to this project , maybe even collab with others to bring it to life. The goal was to kickstart a full set that could be mixed and matched into multiple decks. The ultimate goal is to combine your pure breed monsters into fusion monsters and dominate the game in first to get 3 KOs

[Paid]/[Revshare]- Looking for a programmer for a Persona/Pokemon inspired game. GODOT or UNITY

Hello! I'm an animator currently working for Marvel on X-Men 97. Despite my day job I've always wanted to create a monster taming RPG. I've begun sharing some of the art and have also outlined most of the mechanics and things like items, moves, abilities , etc. as well as technical specifications.

Feel free to check out my profile to get a vibe of where I am heading. I am leaning towards using Godot or a platform that you recommend that is relatively easy to port to consoles. Hopefully this would be a partnership would could build on to profit in the future. I'm looking for a mix of paid/Revshare

I don't have a huge budget right now but the goal is to build a demo to launch a Kickstarter with and I don't want you working for completely free.

A list of some of my expectations for the WHOLE game. As for the demo I think it will just be one town and a few monsters and a battle tutorial. I have visual references to share if we match up:

1440p game- Art will likely not be pixel based( think Nexomon)

Stylish UI like Persona series

HEAVY Music motifs

4 point walk/run cycles for most characters (animated by me)

Around 85 monster abilities with some overlap on species

Held Items that affect battle

In battle items like healing

Defeated Monsters drop ""Bits"" that correspond to their highest stat. These bits can be used to buff up their base stats allowing for direct customization. They can also drop items.

All battles are double battles. The party features the player character and 5 monsters.

Player is essentially a "monster" that can also attack , debuff and buff.

Game over if player falls in battle.

animated cutscenes like the Tales of Games that trigger after certain events.

Only active monsters get full exp in battles, everything else gets 25%

Player character can equip one ability from any monster that has been caught. Stats can also be customized with bits.

6 -7 dungeons and maybe 2 mini games?

Overworld in-between towns and dungeons (think chrono trigger)
