Is it rude to auto-recall birds?

not sure what the culture is yet but i’m wondering if it’s rude to auto-recall birds? should I be gifting my birds as I send them out or is it normal to get them back to use again? i’ve only got a few and am still a little unsure how to get more but if people are generally letting their birds go when they send them away I want to go with the flow! lmk your thoughts.

Would modifying egg salad make it go bad faster?

for context I usually add black pepper, franks hot sauce, yellow mustard, pickle juice, and paprika. i’ve been mixing it up every day when I make my lunch but i’m wondering if I can do this once to the whole batch or if that would be a bad idea. it’s store bought egg salad and I usually eat it over the course of 5 days. thoughts?

Not a day goes by that I don’t think about these little angels. I stopped seeing them on the trick or treat circuit by 11 and i’ve never been the same since. they still exist but not where I live OTL

My store bought egg salad has a use by date from 5 days ago. I didn’t notice and mixed up the last of it with hot sauce, mustard, etc to make a deviled egg type thing but now i’m not sure if i’d be able to tell if it’s rotten. it’s been in the fridge with a lid and I opened it probably 10 days ago. I tried a few pieces of the albumen (who knew that’s what it was called??) and it didn’t taste off at all but I wonder if my concoction could hide a mild rotten taste. I didn’t notice a smell when I opened it before mixing it up and it looked normal. i’d say i’m 50/50 on eating it right now but i’ll take recommendations over my own desire to not waste food…

I read this book as a kid about a little girl who lived on a boat. I think it was a sail boat but maybe it was a houseboat. It was not a chapter book but a short children’s book, the kind that are large, square/landscape rectangular, and thin. It was very colorful with illustrations covering every page. The art style was detailed but not complex so the scenes had lots of objects and things to look at but they were more akin to line art that was colored in than say watercolor. The water was bright which is why I think they were in the caribbean, bvi, or somewhere similar. the girl had at least one parent living with her, maybe both. I don’t remember any siblings or pets but it’s not out of the question. The story read almost like she was writing a letter describing her adventures to someone, maybe a friend or grandparent. They didn’t travel far but they definitely moved around the island/islands. one thing I strongly remember is an illustration of her room on the inside of the boat. her bed was off the ground like a built in bunk bed and she had pink sheets and a window right next to her. It would have to have been published before 2010 but I suspect it was earlier than that. help!
