Unique catering ideas (Latham/CP area)

We host a small event every year for about 20 people and usually just get trays of Italian food like Baked Ziti and Chicken Parm. Mainly because it's relatively inexpensive and you can order it from about 100 different places, so it's very convenient.

Ideally, we would like to do something different. Maybe Indian food or Thai or something unique like that. Looking for some good food ideas that would also be convenient for pickup.

Best beaches within 45 minutes of Salem?

Not familiar at all with the beaches, except for Hampton Beach, and ideally would like to find something closer that has ample parking, restrooms, and possibly nearby food. TIA.

Suggestions for clean, inexpensive hotel on or within walking distance to strip

We are going with a group of 20 people in October. Not important to stay together. Been to Vegas like five times and it looks like prices have gone up a lot. Any ideas to book great rates?

Troubleshooting advice needed

Kohler 5400 series 19.5 HP engine with 74.5 hours on a Craftsman T2200 Lawn Tractor.

3rd year, no issues at all the first two years. After the winter, needed to charge the battery.

Now, it won't start. Make a click and that's it. The flywheel won't turn.

I hook it up to a battery charger and it starts and runs great. But it only starts like 10% of the time after removing the charger. So, I am able to use it, but I need to perform a ballet after hooking it back up. TIA for advice.

Brisnet or other service?

I'm a casual bettor at best. Most of the big races and occasionally if something calls my name. Definitely not scientific, but I have my moments.

I've been going to Saratoga for over 50 years. My father taught me how to read the racing form at a young age. I received an email from Brisnet this morning for PP's for the entire Saratoga meet for $65. Seems like a good deal considering the printed Racing Form is like $14. Any thoughts.

Suggestions for combining 401K's

Between my wife and I, we have six 401K's/403B's from jobs over the last 40+ years that we have maxed out over the years and still sitting in their original accounts at different investment firms. Many are in target funds that may be unique to those accounts. All of the investment firms are name brands: Fidelity, Vanguard, Empower, Voya, etc. None are costing us any extra and all have performed well over the years.

For income reasons we have not converted anything to Roths. Don't judge us on that, but we are in a high tax bracket. We will need to start RMD in a few years and plan to maximize DAF's to help us with our tax burden.

For simplicity sakes, we are thinking to combine our accounts and since Fidelity is the account with the highest balance, we are leaning to move everything to them.

Has anyone done anything differently that we should consider?

Looking for a vinyl siding installer.

It's a fairly basic install. Only one short side of a one level 1500 sq.ft. ranch. I'm happy with the product and color from Home Depot. The scope would be to take down the old siding (which is negotiable) and install the new siding.

Person or company must be reputable, insured, experienced and have references/photos of previous work done. If possible, I'd like to get a couple estimates this Friday or Saturday.

I don't need to get this done ASAP, but would like to get on someone's list. Thanks in advance.

Syracuse Mets question

I have not been there since it was the Chiefs and MacArthur Stadium. I know the stadiums now how protective netting, but how far does the netting go down. Does it extend all the way to the foul pole. And is it noticeable when you are sitting right behind it. Thanks. Looking forward to my first game in years.
