Looking for chairs similar to Blue Bottle in Daikanyama

I sat on those chairs with a nice soft cushion and wicker seat back and they’re the most comfy chairs that I’ve sat on in a long time. They also look incredible. I would like if possible to purchase them.

I’ve had a look on Google for who did the interior design for blue bottle - it seems it was Suppose Design- but I can’t work out what store or designer the chairs are from. I was hoping there would be some interior design buff here who know what company designed and sells those chairs or something similar.

I’m being overtaken by caterpillars

They have never hit my garden before. But this year they’re attacking my eucalyptus, Melaleuca and wire plant.

Currently, I’m picking them all off by hand. I inspect the plants every morning and try to pick them off. Is there a better option without drowning them in chemicals ?

Where to buy an advanced/industrial air quality montior?

I need to purchase an advanced or industrial standard hand held air quality tester, to test for things like ozone, TVOC, nitrogen oxide andother hazardous gases, etc for an experiment. Its a community lab so they don't have anything like this nor a affiliated engineering lab I can borrow one from.

Budget is less than 800K yen (needs to be a good one!).

I can see them online on Amazon, but they are all from China from unknown brands so I have no idea about the quality or accuracy. I would prefer to buy in Japan from a Japanese or European vendor. Can anyone reccomend what website or shop I need to visit to purchase this in Japan?

The current one I have, I have serious concerns about its accuracy so is only good for relative comparison not actual specific results.

Sun for JMaple - North Balcony, or tiny amount of direct sun

I have a large Japanese maple tree on my north west facing balcony, but in a place where it only gets around 1.5 of direct sun, and the rest of the time it is in indirect sun. I also have a north facing balcony - are maples happier in north facing balconies or should I keep it getting 1.5 hours of direct sun on the other balcony?

Installing a clothes tumble dryer with no exhaust outlet ?

I would like to buy a clothes tumble dryer as I’m doing way too much manual labor at home with laundry and such things. However, all of the clothes dryers that I’ve seen need an outlet for hot air through an exhaust hose. My laundry does not have any exhaust fan I can connect this to.

I am wondering if I don’t connect the exhaust fan to the outside and I just let it vent the hot air inside the laundry - Is the inside of my laundry going to end up raining from humidity? I can’t be the only person who has a totally internal laundry. I am wondering what other people who have installed dryers have done?

Importing cat from Japan to Australia

I am thinking to send my cat temporarily to Australia for medical treatment not available in Japan (Radioactive Iodine 131).

Has anyone recently brought a pet from Japan to Australia, and if so, did you use a third party service? Using a third party service to arrange the paperwork and flight would be my preferred option.

Thanks!

Will yellow sedum survive outdoors in Tokyo

I have a yellow sedum plant indoors but I am running out of space on my desk, as it really needs more space. I would like to move it outdoors, but I prefer to have all season plants out there if possible.

Will a sedum plant survive outdoors in Tokyo in winter? Or am I giving it a death sentence ?

(Ex Tokyu) Hands flagships store in Shibuya to close

The only reason to go to Shibuya is now gone. There is just nothing like this store in central parts of Tokyo, I really feel that central Tokyo will just become some weird shell and if you actually want to buy anything that’s not LV you have to commute through central Tokyo to another place. The mini Hands stores just are not the same. Stuff like this just pushes more people to Amazon, convenience just isn’t there any more if we have to do a day trip to the other side of Tokyo to buy some moss or something.

I wonder if the building is to be demolished. Is there any way Cainz will change their mind ? Do petitions or public pressure work in Japan ?

Survival time of cats on thyroid medicine v radioactive iodine

My cat, 11, male, DSH, orange, has what appears to be a begin thyroid tumor and causing thyroid issues. Her liver values are very high and ammonia levels astronomical. They were shocked her only symptoms was bad breath given how high it was.

After one week on the thyroid medicine her ammonia is almost back to normal which is amazing. They are testing the thyroid again next week, as they said it needs two full weeks to work.

I live in Japan and radioactive iodine treatment is not available here. I am reading online that mean survival time after iodine treatment is 5 years and only 1-2 years with just the tablets. I am really worried she is getting sub standard treatment in Japan, when the radioactive iodine is the gold standard. The option they offer here is surgery, which seems to be much more risky.

I am wondering if I should take her overseas for the treatment. The treatment seems easily available in Australia and there is a quarantine free travel agreement between Japan and Australia so it’s easy to bring her back here with no fuss (but she does need to quarantine in Australia on arrival). Other countries will take six months to bring her back to Japan as they are not rabies free.

Is the survival time of thyroid medicine v radioactive iodine treatment really that different ? Am I limiting her life by keeping her here in Japan ? She has no kidney issues now but if she develops them later then the iodine treatment will be off the table. I want to do the best thing for my cat, she is otherwise in good health and robust cat despite how technically sick she was before starting the thyroid medicine. If she didn’t have the ammonia breath I never would have even realized she was ill.
