What’s the craziest thing you have seen go down at a funeral in Japan?

Have you seen any bad behaviour or drama at funerals in Japan?

My friend went to a funeral recently here and there was a *huge* gossip session as the sister wore a navy blue dress with a white blazer and apparently Japanese funerals are strictly strictly all black including stockings. We are all guessing she didn’t get on well with the deceased and wanted to grab attention?

Any other crazy funeral stories ?

Are bike umbrella holders allowed on

I know holding an umbrella is not allowed. How about having the umbrella fixed to the handlebars like this? Does anyone know if this is allowed ?

BTW pic 2 is someone getting ticketed today for breaking the bike rules but I am not sure which one they broke !

The middle seat on the Nozomi is wider ?

Very random observation but I am on the train right now and noticed this. I did not realise the middle seat was wider

Nice interior design in the Kyushu Shinkansen ! All natural wood

The interior of this train is so nice! The wood is gorgeous - i wish this was more common across Japan! It feels like a nice attention to detail and I will say the seats are the most comfortable I have sat on in a Shinkansen. a nice way to reduce plastic usage too

Fukuoka is slept on as the best city in Japan

I’m visiting Fukuoka from Tokyo - the food is amazing , parks are great (walking track, cycling track and running track around the lake!) vibe is relaxed, people are friendly and transport is great. Why TF am I going back to Tokyo tomorrow night !?

ETA I feel I should clarify I grew up in the inaka so that shapes my perspective a lot on what I am looking for in cities 😂
