BGSU/UM

Really enjoyed my first ever trip to Yost last night to see the Falcons - absolutely incredible atmosphere….. this UM team is poised to have a special season. Safe travels if you’re coming from Ann Arbor to Slater Family Ice Arena tonight.

If you want a beer near the rink pregame, head to CAMPUS QUARTERS. Our barn will be rockin’ tonight!

“The Detroit Tigers’ season was shot down over the Sea of Japan… there were no survivors.”

If our bullpen was only half as bad as it’s been we’d be in first place by a lot of games. Now I want a Packos dog.

Zoo carousel

Born and raised in the 419, have been coming to the zoo since my childhood in the early 90s. This carousel is behind the aquarium. Looks like it hasn’t been ridden in a while. Obviously they added the one when they opened the Africa exhibit, but has this one always been in this location. I can’t remember? Anyone have old zoo pics or memories to share?

JV’s last trip off mound for organization?

Feeling less and less optimistic about his return, especially after his recent comments. Might this be the last we see of JV? Hope not

Bruce Springsteen Center for American Music

Hey everyone!

My family and I are in the area and attending the museum tomorrow; we are very excited!

My wife and I are happy midwesterners with our little toddler. I am looking for some recommendations in the area. Which Bruce pilgrimage sites are worth seeing? I know we will walk the boardwalk, see the stone pony, and be sure to drive through Freehold, but does anyone have kid friendly ideas for the area beyond a playground or the beach? As teachers on summer break, we may stick around for a day, two, three, whatever!

Much appreciated :)

Edit: spelling

Bob Spitz book

Anyone else read it? Curious about people’s thoughts. I was born in the 90s, and was shocked how little I knew about the Stones collective and individual histories. Anyone have quibbles with the tales? Other thoughts?

Record since July 1

48-64 over the last 112 regular season games, and that includes having Tarik Skubal at the height of his powers.

That’s not a small sample size. Don’t let people call you a doomer for saying this team isn’t good enough. 🤷🏻‍♂️
