I made Tinder for your Steam Backlog

Like most of you, I own hundreds of games I've never launched. Sales, bundles, "I'll play it someday"... So I built Dustpile: it pulls your library, filters to games you've never played (or played under 2/10 hours), and deals them to you as cards. Swipe right for "I'll actually play this", left to skip.

Each card shows the cover, genres, price, Metacritic, review highlights, trailer/screenshots, and HowLongToBeat time, so you can actually decide instead of staring at a wall of capsule images.

At the end you get your shortlist grouped by genre, exportable as JSON/CSV or shareable via link. There's also a wishlist mode for spring-cleaning, and a stats screen that tells you the uncomfortable truth about how much your unplayed pile is worth.

No signup and completely free! Paste your profile link and go (game details on your profile need to be public). Works in 12 languages.

Would love feedback, especially on what info would help you decide "play or skip" faster.

PS: Used AI as this is much more of a fun experiment/escapade for the weekend for me.

This really feels like saying farewell to a best friend. Thank you for everything Destiny

Seeing Datto cry made me write up this post as it was an epiphany moment for me too so this really feels like saying farewell to a best friend

Destiny helped me go thru tough/uncertain times repeatedly. It was the de-facto way to unload my brain and a reason to chase the next day. Running strike playlist mindlessly was a big way to decompress in those years and thanks to it I made a lot of friends, even to this day I keep in touch with. I will sorely miss you, already missing the part where I was raiding with my fireteam weekly and go on to do some sherpa raids after being done with the weekly stuff.

Without getting into the what could've, should've. It was the perfect game with the perfect storm and still nothing comes close to it, maybe ever. Even with its many, many imperfections and flaws, I fell in love with the universe, gameplay, characters and everything at the first sight. It had and still has an amazing potential from the very start. Even today it still manages to amaze me.

Played it straight from D1 Alpha, participated in community puzzles, soloing nightfalls/raids/dungeons, speedrunning to world first races (even came close). I haven't been actively able to play the game due to workload/life stuff since Witch Queen but I never got out of the loop as I was watching Destiny videos and visiting here daily, just recently been able to come back to finish the Light saga.

To the incredibly smart and selfless tool developers who made tools like DIM, Ishtar, Charlemagne, raidreport and many more possible,

To creators around the game who lit the flame and carried it all along like Datto, Goth, Chevy, Aztec, Esoterickk, Slayerage, Gladd and many more who I may have forgotten,

To everyone at Bungie(minus the management) who made this story possible thru making this universe come alive and thrive at its peak,

To everyone here and many other subreddits around Destiny, even with the salt sometimes,

To everyone in fireteams who never left the ranks while it got tough during a raid, nightfall or a dungeon, who persevered thru all the challenges and went along with all the shits and giggles too,

To everyone who selflessly sherpa blueberries thru raids,

To everyone who we have lost, close friends, family or Lance Reddick,

Thank you all for creating the best community there is for a game, it has been the perfect community that I am proud to be a part of.

Thank you Destiny for being a best friend who grew with me, and making this past decade a one hell of a ride.

You really just had to be there.

Sadly, the real irony is, there has been a lot of "Destiny killer" games in the past decade, and only one that has managed to do it is again Destiny. The people who made this deserved better leadership than they got

It's really a bad day for rain guardians, see you starside
