Anyone Supporting Off-Grid Mesh Networks

Like this guy here talks a lot about, and shows in this video, there are solar powered kits with an off-grid mesh network setup. I was considering joining the off-grid network. The comments section shows a growing number of supporters in many states.

It would be truly interesting if people could take themselves away from corporations running the networks.

Need Ball End Shower Collar

I bought a house a couple years ago and finding some vintage stuff. Like the main shower has an old brass manifold that won’t ever wear out like the cartridges used today [I did have to clean it because of low flow and it works beautifully now!]. Well, I also have a vintage ball end shower where the plastic collar broke. I’m having a difficult time finding just the replacement collar/ring that sits behind the ball. The only parts readily available assume that the threaded collar behind the ball is still there. I have the adaptor that sits in from of the ball. Apparently those are widely sold in three packs to cover all brands of threading.

I included a pic from a website that might have something I can disassemble and use as a replacement collar. But I’m hoping for advice on where to find the actual piece I need without overspending on a different assembly just for the threaded collar piece.

BottleDrop Bottleneck - Lancaster

Anyone know what’s up with this location? For almost a week the Lancaster Bottle Drop location has been packed so full of green bags that people walk away without being able to slam one more bag in the hole.

Drop Schedule

I’ve initially noticed patterns in drops from PetSmart and Best Buy. But more recently the pattern has changed or scattered.

Has anyone made a definitive list of patterned times for drops?

State of OR 5:30am Automated Call

I was weirded out by the automated phone call that I actually woke up and answered it.

It was unemployment automated message about being closed for Juneteenth and possibly delayed unemployment payments.

I mean annoying, yes. But humorous at the same time. Like what Dummkopf setup that automated system?

Not Your Usual Call For Assistance - Shed Build, Paid Labor

I bought a 10’•12’ shed kit over a year ago for my home but ended up with injuries and multiple surgeries before it could be built. I’m currently recovering from hand surgery. I only have a tenant to help but need to finally get the shed built this year!

Are there still good people out there that know what they’re doing and seeking honest paid work? I’d also be smoking meats and making treats. I’m a baker and chef at heart.

The concrete piers would already be in place for installation. Scheduling would be after the rain is definitely finished. Should be up in the one day with the right support people.

Gig View Update - Android only so far

My friend has an android and can see ALL of the 5+ gigs. On my iPhone I can still only see 5. And they still rotate as to which five I can see, from time to time.

Anyone know about this fire today I saw from I-5 at the Keubler exit? Interestingly I’ll find more info here before the news.
