I miss the old wattpad. Now it’s just overrun with ads, scammers, and some of the best works I used to read have been taken down. I’m so sad when I think about how much of a community it used to be and how connected people were. Now I feel like the app is built to keep people distant and is not a place for people to write for fun without risk of their work/account spontaneously being taken down for no reason or being pushed to make their works pay for. Every now and then I find some hidden gems but not like I used too.

Edit: all these comments are making me reminisce about pre2020 Wattpad. So many memories! I’m glad I’m not the only one who will miss it.

So I'm a pretty athletic person who has been doing sports year-round since I was a kid, so about 10 years. I work out 3x a week and def focus more on legs/cardio for my sport, but try to stay balanced. I'm not exactly ripped persay but I can move weight (lol). However, for the life of me, I still have belly fat. I'm not visibly overweight by any means, but that's basically where any of my fat goes lol, even when I build muscle. I make sure to eat lots of protein/protien powder and have also tried changing calorie deficits while working out/during season. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on that? Idk if I should do more cardio, but I'm not sure if it matters since you can't spot-target fat. Thanks!

So I’ve been struggling w porn addiction for years and recently was able to masturbate for the first time (as an adult). I’ve joined streak counters and other communities but I’m in an effort to kick the porn and prevent having addiction with my masturbation. However I’m worried that since I’m so obsessed about not breaking my streak and not developing a problem with masturbation it’s all I now think about. I wanted some advice on whether it’s a good idea to delete the counter entirely because I always fall into “don’t do it don’t do it” thinking about my streak just to end up relapsing. (also yes I have blockers on my phone and my computer and I try distractions.) I really don’t mind masturbation either but I feel like bc I have so much anxiety about my addictions I’m beginning to develop a bad relationship with self-pleasure. Thanks so much for any advice!

I (20M) recently had a PMO relapse after 42 days of abstinence. I was wondering if this completely undos all the neurological progress I’ve made (like dopamine baseline, etc). I’ve tried to look online but can’t find a clear answer neurologically. Thank you!

So I babysit for my neighbors a few houses down however this is the fourth time in a row where I have run into them being 1-2 hours late to return home after the stated end time. They also don’t really respond to check ins or let me know they will be late. It’s just radio silence. The kids are super easy so I only get paid 12/h but I’m not sure what to do about this since it’s mostly going into midnight and after. I feel bad if I suddenly say I’m going to charge a late fee, especially as I know they’re not made of money. Once I didn’t even get paid for my extra hours so I’m not sure what to do. I don’t want to burn the bridge but it’s super annoying. Thank you for any and all advice!

UPDATE: They ended up paying me a $15 bonus and explained they had went to a concert. I feel a little bad now for being upset but I think if it were me I would 100% tell my sitter I would be 2 hours late. I don’t feel it’s exactly fair to expect my time (even if compensated) without communication. Especially when it’s so late at night.

Has anyone else seen their own outfit while voting? I’m not sure if this is normal as I see mine as an option when I vote.

So I recently got my package, and everything is good except for the AU Grant, which is considerably lower compared to what all the other schools I applied for offered (I'm SAI -1500). Did anyone else have the same issue? And is there any luck appealing?

so I’m looking for a book I read some years ago. Basically the main story follows an omega who ran away from an abusive household to work in the city. Then I think about 3 guys (one is a human) end up running into the MC a few times realizing he’s their mate but the MC hides. One moment the human feels the urge ti kiss the MC (bc they’re mated I think) and the other two guys get upset and hit the MC. Sorry guys such a random story during my Wattpad phase but it’s killing me not remembering the name.
