Ghost open source vs ghost pro?

Have you noticed any significant core web vitals difference between ghost open source vs ghost pro? Aside from maintenance, what are the pros?

I'm trying to move my blog from wix to ghost and considering both options.

I tried self hosting it on hostinger and the core web vitals are around 85 only, on wix it is 48 , clear improvement but i need to see if i can improve it even further touching 90s.

Wix is painfully slow — anyone migrated to Ghost? What tools did you use?

My Wix blog has gotten unbearably slow — page loads, editor lag, the works. Looking to migrate to Ghost and could use some real-world advice.

A few things I'm trying to figure out:

  • What tools/scripts did you use to actually export content out of Wix? (Wix doesn't make this easy)
  • How did you handle image migration bulk download or one-by-one?
  • Did you use any redirect mapping tool for the URL changes, or handle it manually?
  • Any gotchas with formatting/HTML breaking on import into Ghost?

Would love to hear what worked (or didn't) for you before I dive in.

I purchased leadsourcing.co and now not able to login.

I purchased leadsourcing.co via Appsumo and now not able to login. It was fine a couple of days back. I checked their website and could not find any contact options. Looks like they changed their business model. Anyone else facing the same problem?

Anyone uses apps or spreadsheets to track the canker sore episodes?

I get recurring canker sores and i started tracking my canker sore episodes. First it was a google sheet and now a simple app. In my case what i found is I get the sores when i am stressed (i get the data from my smart watch), had poor sleep (also smart watch), and had acidic foods. Once i started tracking , the gap between the episodes have started increasing. The reason is because i got more cautions about sleep, stress and food. Anyone else tried anything similar?

How to display SVG charts on Wix without using an HTML embed option in Wix?

I have about 10 charts on every blog of mine, and they are usually between 200 and 600 KB, depending on the specific chart.  I want to replace my heavy PNG bar charts (200–600 KB each) with lightweight SVG versions (2–5 KB) to speed up my site. But Wix won't let me upload SVGs as normal images in the Media Manager.

Is there any supported way to use a real SVG as a regular responsive image on Wix? Or is pasting the markup into an HTML Embed (iframe) the only option? If it's the embed, any tips for sizing it responsively so it doesn't bleed my core web vitals?

Google deindexed my pages after merging similar content. What did I do wrong?

Hey everyone,

I recently tried to clean up some keyword cannibalization on my blog by merging similar content, but it seems to have backfired. Google has now deindexed several of my pages, and I’m trying to figure out if I messed up the execution or if this is just a temporary reaction.

Here is the exact process I used for about 10 different topics:

  1. I identified two posts with highly similar content (Let's call them Blog A and Blog B).
  2. I checked metrics to see which one had better traffic and backlinks.
  3. If Blog A was the stronger page, I kept it live and updated it with any valuable info from Blog B.
  4. I set up a permanent 301 redirect from Blog B to Blog A.
  5. I then unpublished/deleted Blog B.

The Problem: Shortly after doing this for around 10 sets of blogs, Google began deindexing them.

(Clarity note: If Google deindexed the old "Blog B" pages, that's expected. But if you mean Google deindexed your main "Blog A" pages, or the entire site is taking a hit, that's where I'm stuck.)

Did I miss a crucial step here? Should I have left Blog B published but with a canonical tag instead of a 301 redirect? Or is it normal for Google to fluctuate wildly and drop pages right after a consolidation like this?

Any insights or advice on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated!
