a few of these were autopops when switching to PS5, but of note is me platinuming Elden Ring PS5 ver. then hearing the PS4 ver. was better and fully doing the 2nd platinum. Resident Evil 8 was also done twice as the only autopop trophy was finding 15 goat bobbleheads.

you can tell from the list im a big fan of JRPGs, souls games, and survival horror.

ask me anything about these if you like. I have a psnprofiles you can check too if you dont like my notepad list.

just wanted to share this accomplishment with other people into trophy collecting.

Games that are only fun if you "get" them.

I just finished my yearly playthrough of Final Fantasy 8. It's a bit of a black sheep among RPGs since optimal play involves never leveling up, playing a card game side quest for hours, and increasing your stats with spells you never use. It's reputation is that of a not so friendly to first timers RPG, since how could you ever know that's what the game wants from you. However, if you understand the games quirks beforehand, it's a stellar experience.

I also am very fond of Resident Evil Code: Veronica, which has tons of opportunities to soft lock you and ruin your save if you're unprepared, but if you're on a replay or aware of these quirks and play it well, its one of the best games in RE ever. Fun characters, an impressive length, neat bosses incredible music, the whole 9.

Do you guys have any games you really like that are daunting or perhaps even "bad" to the uninitiated, but great once you understand them?

MASSIVE Spencer Mansion build. Took months. I love this game.

the build is roughly 160×90 squares, and 23 high (haven't made the basement yet) it is so large it can't all fit on screen and the game lags when I look at it. it is fully furnished and wired for electricity.

it is as 1:1 as I could make it to the Gamecube remake version as possible, with occasional liberties like adding chimneys for fireplaces and touching up rooms that would intersect impossibly.

I dont want to upload hundreds of photos at once but photo comments are allowed and I can show any rooms that may interest you.

this took months of passion grinding for green paint and other materials. the build is on the palette town map and I plan to finish the basement, then do the guardhouse, and eventually the laboratory over the next year. currently every room on floors 1-3 are complete.

I started the project by mapping out each and every room using foundation blocks (seen in photo 3) and adjusting every room, then making their walls, floors, etc. 1 by 1. each room would take a few hours with some larger rooms like the library, main hall, and dining room taking whole days of planning and crafting.
