WIBTA if I didn't let my friend stay with me?

My friend wants to stay with me and my fiance for two weeks while her parents are out of town. She lives with her parents and doesn't want to be alone. We're all 30 years old. I don't feel like being a host for two weeks. The thought of having to make dinner to her liking everyday seems exhausting. Shes a picky eater who has expensive tastes. Personally, I would be excited to be alone for two weeks, especially if I lived with my parents. It seems odd and unnecessary that she wants to stay with us.

Lost Work Keys

Today I was opening up an outdoor electrical box for my job and as I was taking the keys out of my pocket, the key ring came apart. Most of the keys stayed in my hand but I know at least two landed in the tall grass around the electrical box area. I searched for 20 min and found one key.

Luckily I have an extra copy of the missing key on my backup work key ring. Also, the electrical box is locked behind a fence and is on private property of one of the board members of our company. If anyone were to go around the electrical box area it would be him or his family.

Honestly, I feel foolish that I lost a key. I hate the idea that someone might find it and potentially mess with work property. Any locks that this key opens are miles away and also on private property.

Should I tell my bosses and the board member?

The only reason I kind of don't want to tell anyone is because I'm embarrassed and don't want to be looked down upon.

My parents don't have a retirement plan

My parents never invested into any kind of retirement account and will only receive social security. They do own a couple properties that are worth ~500k combined, one of which they live in. The other is my mom hair salon. It's probably worth like $100k. They are 65 years old. My mom still works as a hair dresser and she's probably not gonna retire until she physically can't work anymore. My dad is retired and already is receiving social security. They both will have to live off of social security once my moms income stops. They'll probably get like $2000 a month combined.

I think I want to open a brokerage account to invest some money to help support my parents in the future. Realistically, my mom probably has like 5 more years before she needs to retire. I have an emergency fund and invest 15% of my salary into retirement accounts. The only debt I have is my mortgage. I feel pretty secure in my finances and think I could invest at least $100 a month. I know it's not much but I think that anything is better than nothing.

What do you think?

Edit: the other property is my mom's hair salon
