Updated Sofia metro diagram because of three new stations on line M3 [OC]

Updated Sofia metro diagram because of three new stations on line M3 [OC]

Updated (my 2021) Sofia metro diagram because three new stations on line M3 opened on August 14th 2026.

Another station is also under construction planned to open this year.

It's good to see that the metro network is constantly expanding.

Feedback and corrections are welcome.

[OC] Updated tram network map due to construction works in August in Graz, Austria

Another small update to my unofficial tram map of Graz!

Software: Affinity.

From August 1st to August 23rd 2026, two more changes affect the Graz tram network due to ÖBB rail bridge replacement (tram line 5) and due to reconstruction works on tram line 4.

🟡 Tram line 4 terminates at Stadion Liebenau/Berta-von-Suttner-Platz. 🚌 Replacement bus E4 serves the rest of the route to Murpark.

🔵 Tram line 5 terminates at the central tram hub, Jakominiplatz. 🚌 Replacement bus E5 serves the rest of the route to Puntigam.

To reflect these changes, I’ve updated my unofficial network map. I also added bus icons along the E routes to make replacement services easier to identify at a glance.

I hope this updated map helps passengers navigate the network a little more easily during the construction period.

🇦🇹 Have a great summer and safe travels!

[OC] Tram network diagram of Graz (Austria)

I've updated my unofficial tram network map of Graz to reflect the temporary service changes in place from July 11th to November 27th 2026.

Due to the ongoing double-track expansion of tram Line 1, trams can no longer terminate at Hilmteich and are temporarily extended to LKH Med Uni/Klinikum Nord. The E1 replacement bus has also been extended to Reiterkaserne to serve the segment the tram cannot at the moment.

Besides updating the routes, I added a small bus icon along the E1 bus corridor to make it easier to distinguish the replacement bus service from the tram lines at a glance.

As always, this is an unofficial map created to help passengers better understand the network during construction.

Feedback is always welcome!

Revised tram network of Essen (Germany)

🚋 Optimised tram network in Essen since 14 June 2026

With the timetable change, Ruhrbahn has comprehensively reorganised Essen’s tram network – the largest restructuring of the city’s public transport offer in more than ten years.

Six of the previous eight tram lines have received new structures or changed routes. The network now consists of seven tram lines. In addition, departure times on underground and bus lines have been adjusted to better coordinate the overall service.

Particularly interesting changes include:
🚊 new and modified tram routes
🚊 improved connections across the network
🚊 the return of the continuous KulturLinie 107 to Bredeney
🚊 the distribution of the former Line 108’s route sections across other lines
🚊 adjustments in preparation for future developments

I have created an unofficial geographic map of the new network based on OSM data. Since an official schematic network map already exists, my map provides a complementary view of how the new tram routes are distributed across the actual urban space. I have also included the lines running into neighbouring municipalities in full, which the official schematic map does not show completely.

For major network changes like this, I find it especially interesting to see how the service changes not only on paper, but also spatially: which corridors are strengthened, which direct connections are created, and how the tram network reorganises as a whole.

Feedback is very welcome.

🌈 Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

To mark the beginning of Pride Month, I wanted to create a small visual statement – a rainbow-coloured map of the West Styrian S-Bahn lines. 🚆❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

For me, it represents the diversity I see every day at work: the many different people who fill our trains and stations with life.

Even though a lot has been achieved over the past decades, Pride, visibility and parades are still necessary. Equality is not yet a given everywhere. Acceptance is not yet a reality everywhere. And rights that have been fought for must also be protected.

Pride is not just colourful, loud and visible.
Pride is remembrance, protest, solidarity and hope. ✊🌈

Visibility in public space matters. Everyone should be able to live, love and travel as they are – without fear, exclusion or the need to justify themselves.

Love takes us everywhere. ❤️

[OC] Unofficial Nuuk Bus Network Map

Something special today with this double-bill from u/transitscapes and myself!
We’ve synced our watches to bring you two different views on the same system: the public bus network in Nuuk, the capital of Kalaallit Nunaat (Greenland).

So, here is my cartographic take on the network, but make sure you head over to u/transitscapes to check out his own interpretation of it too!
Nuummut tikilluaritsi, welcome to Nuuk! 🇬🇱

Just because there is no road going out of town doesn't mean you don't get to drive around.. or be driven! And that's what Nuup Bussii - the local bus company - intend to show since its creation in 1980.

The system essentially consists of three main lines - 1, 2 and 3 - serving all the districts forming the city of Nuuk: Nuup Qeqqa (Nuuk center), Nuussuaq and Qinngorput.
Three other lines - X2, X3 and E2 - round up the network, following alternative service patterns on either full- or partial length of the main routes.
Together, all six lines provide reliable, year‑round service across the capital city.

Since much of the network functions as a series of loop routes, many stops are shown as served in one direction only. In the central area and along the shared section between Sarfaanguit and Pukuffik, stops located nearby one another often come in pairs, bearing different names depending on direction of travel.

My map is based on the official schedules. The map data is from OpenStreetMap.

Enjoy the trip around town!
