Fan Locations and General thoughts...

Hey all, looking for some advice/ thoughts from pellet stove owners.

I live in New England, a single-story 1960's ranch house. Approximately 2350 sqft. We currently have natural gas, baseboard hot water. Our heating (gas) bills are obnoxious each winter and while we continue to airseal/ update the home's windows, doors, and insulation. We are still regularly cold and have considered a secondary heat source. We have been quoted for a Harman 42i-TC ($7215 purchased and installed).

My concerns stem from moving the heat from the insert location to the bedrooms, particularly bedroom 1, as this is the furthest point and always the coldest location in the home.

I have mocked up our floor plan with possible fan locations to move the heat. All the yellow locations can have the doors closed or are not required to be heated all day.

My questions...

  1. Where would you place fans for optimal heat movement?

  2. Where should we place the remote temperature sensor?

  3. Our square footage is at the absolute top edge of what Harman recommends for this stove. Anyone have thoughts on whether or not this will be sufficient for the home?

(Our current plan is to run the pellet stove throughout the day and switch over to baseboard for the overnights.)

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Good customer service, poor product (Grip Case)

Just thought I'd share my thoughts on the Grip Case (Pixel 9 Pro).

Since my first smartphone back in 2010, I have used OtterBox's through and through with generally solid results. I have no doubt that these cases get more complicated to make around the changing aesthetics and features of modern smartphones.

When I got my pixel 9 pro, I decided to explore the different options available for modern cases. I settled on the grip case and after about 6 months of use I reached out to customer service for replacements for two grip cases (my wife and I both got them at the same time and have had them on the phones for the same amount of time).

Customer service did a great job requesting photos and finding my information from my product order. They were quick to handle the replacement and sent us two new cases with the appropriate skins that we originally ordered.

That being said, a case at this price point I would hope would last at least a couple years. I kept using the defective case for a while to get as much use out of it as I could. Trying to super glue the rubber grip back to the plastic casing. I just switched to the new one that they replaced it with, when they're first on the phones they're great. Unfortunately they just don't hold up. The rubber grip starts to separate from the plastic housing. It gets worse as it separates as it now has a place to catch dirt and debris, and gets caught on your pocket when you're putting it in and out causing the problem to exacerbate.

The skins are great and I know they're printed on high quality 3M material. This will probably leave my last dbrand product.
