The room was all bed, except for an alcove I work at, and I rarely have overnight guests. Replaced the carpet with laminate, changed walls from grey to cream, added feature wallpaper, splurged on the armchair, and saved on the (flatpack) wooden furniture and rug.
I have a small spare bedroom, measurements and current layout above, that's wasted as a bedroom. I only ever use it to work from home a few times a week (see desk nook), and drop random stuff in there. I'd like to toss out the bed and repurpose it as a small study or chill out room or similar. I can't do any construction work on it but I'm otherwise happy to rip up carpets, repaint the walls, etc. I'll keep the desk nook. Given the slightly odd proportions, the main floor space is really only 8'3" by 6'1". Any suggestions?
