Need help arranging limited furniture in a large space

My flatmate moved out along with most of the living room decor items, so now my living room/kitchen/dining area feels so empty. With no TV or plants, I hate sitting on the couch and staring at a huge blank wall. I am also moving out soon, so I am reluctant to buy much to fill the room. The kitchen runs along one entire wall, so I've sketched out a walking zone to keep relatively clear (but not mandatory). There are sliding doors on the other wall, with full height windows on either side. Items:

  • L-shaped couch (cannot make the L the other way)
  • round rug that fits in front of the couch
  • dining table and chairs (table is 120x80cm)
  • shoe rack (I want to keep this where I placed it in the floorplan)
  • bookshelf (wifi modem plugs in here, so ideally want to keep the shelf there to put it on)
  • I am potentially open to buying a coffee table or side table or another bookshelf

I would greatly appreciate any ideas on how I can arrange these items or make any cheap purchases to make this space feel more inviting!
