2 months in - Pretty happy with the platform so far. First BMW was an E46 Touring but have been a long time Audi nerd and decided it was time to move on to a new platform.

Coming from an old Audi, this thing has such good road manners and handles well for being stock on all season tires.

I don't really have any plans at this moment but I would like to add a tune & supporting modifications but primarily focus on suspension and a more aggressive tire setup.

Maintenance is first, however. The car has a little bit of a lifter tick when cold (not injectors, follows RPM) - the "beat the hell out of it" method for bleeding the lifters didn't really work.

Otherwise, mechanically pretty solid.

No markings / model # or anything obvious. 5.5” core.

I had a Stage 3 B5 S4 for 10 years .. it had the exclusivity, never kept me bored, put down some fairly respectable numbers and hurt a lot of feelings.

Not my first BMW but, this is the car I’ve been waiting for.

N54 135i, 6 speed, m-sport.

The E82 platform has always intrigued me - no big plans other than maintenance, familiarize myself with the platform, and adding a few modifications as I go along.

What a car.

Delivery is scheduled on 5/17 - can't wait to start my journey with this platform.

I did as much verification & due diligence as I could being 1400 miles away (buddy test drove it, multiple CarFaxes, endless pictures underneath).

Last car was a Stage 3 B5 S4, I can't imagine N54 being as painful.
