I am really lost on all the fake turquoise that is online and don't really know how to shop for it in person. I get really mixed up with the fakes out there. Do you have a trusted source or some advice?
Today I cracked my Vibe-10 plate (see photo), pulled out my last finished rocks and they were super shiny but totally bruised, and well … that’s it, but I am totally bummed out.
I ordered a new plate to fix this up and I have other things to do, but it really takes the wind out of your sails when the thing you’ve been working on for so long “just isn’t it”.
I’m “on a break” from tumble / vibing until next week when my parts come in. My thoughts are with you all.

Hey folks, what do you think of this rock hounding plan? I pulled it from a few listings I read about and I think I am being pretty aggressive to think I'd hit more than one location a day, but maybe it is doable?
So I saw this video where the guy is picking up agates from a river chopping them cooking them, grinding them, and making a beautiful glaze out of them. You’re probably seen it too.
So I have all this saw dust from rock cuts, is this something I can do also?
Has anyone make this kind of art by using all of their discard resources?
I have an ultrasonic cleaner to clean grits out between steps but once I get to the super polish, I don’t want to use the steel basket that comes with it. Do you all have any suggestions or alternative ideas?
