First FET in the books 📚🐣💫

Today my husband I completed our very first FET, though I never thought I’d see the day. After 3+ years of TTC and the “undiagnosed infertility” diagnosis we are *cautiously* happy!

The embryologist did inform me they picked the best of the 3 we had tested, and it so happens to be our only Boy (out of the 3 that were euploid, we still have 16 that we haven’t tested yet). We are so happy! My husband unfortunately lost his father last year due to Pancreatic CA and this just seems like this little embryo was handpicked by him…

I know we have a LONG road ahead of us, as this is only day of FET, but wanted to share since we haven’t told anyone! Please share ALL of your stories about your transfers, I would love to hear them! & give me any tips and tricks that you think played a roll in your successful transfer 🤞🏼🤍

when it rains it pours… ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

Hi everyone just wanted to post on here for some comfort since I haven’t told anyone about this-

After three years of infertility, my husband and I were so excited to finally have our FET date scheduled for this Friday… just for me to have an appointment scheduled for Thursday morning (the day before my FET) to get an ultrasound done on my right breast because I felt something off recently after starting all the hormones (BC, estradiol, progesterone, ER meds)… ofc.

Of course, I’m freaking out, convincing myself that it’s something can*erous. I’m supposed to be calm while preparing for my FET, which is only making me more stressed. I don’t want to cancel my FET for something that “could be,” and I know I’ll find out what it is after the ultrasound appointment, and If I need more imaging… then of course I’ll have to cancel.

I can’t believe this! When they say, “when it rains, it pours,” they weren’t kidding. As if infertility wasn’t enough, I had to be dealt this unexpected blow. And to make matters worse, the day before my scheduled FET, I can’t help but think it’s a bad omen. Ugh!

I’ve read about people developing lumps due to the surge in estrogen and hormones, and it’s just a fibroadenoma. But all the possibilities that come to mind make me feel down all day, even though this is supposed to be a happy moment for me.

Sorry for the rant but like I said I haven’t told anyone that we’re even supposed to be doing the FET on Friday because I wanted to have one sense of surprise since everything in this process is so calculated… & haven’t told anyone about the scan either, other than my husband, so I’m just sad.

If anyone has experienced a similar situation, please share your story below. I’m not looking for advice on canceling my appointment; I’m looking for reassurance and stories to help me get through until tomorrow’s appointment.

Thank you so much ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 (female, 28 years old, mom had breast can*er at 50 but does not have BRCA gene and it was environmental)

birth control for FET prep 🐣

Hi everyone!

I am currently on Loestrin for Frozen Embryo Transfer prep, and wow, it is kicking my butt. I am exhausted! Before the IVF process, I haven’t been on any form of birth control since 2017, so my body is extremely unfamiliar with it…

What symptoms did you experience with your birth control for FET prep? I am just utterly exhausted and def feeling a bit gloom and doom. I know it’ll be worth it in the end, but I feel like I need a nap right after I wake up in the morning lol…

I hope everyone is doing well wherever they are in this process, and if anyone needs to chat, I am available 💕💕🪺

AMAZING blast results 🧡🧡

Want to start off by saying I don’t want to come off as I’m trying to rub this in anyone face, I just want to share the news with people who actually get what I’m talking about (besides my husband ofc) 🤭🤭

I had my ER on Friday June 12th and that yielded 40 eggs, 33 were mature, and 21 fertilized normally… got the call today from the embryologist that of the 21 that fertilized normally, ALL 21 of them made it to day 5/6 blastocysts 🐣🥰

We definitely weren’t expecting a 100% blast rate but obviously are SO over the moon! We picked 5 of the best looking embryos to send off for PGT-A testing and will hear back in about 7 business days!

Again, don’t want to come off as bragging - I’m just not really sharing with anyone that we’re even going through this IVF journey other than immediate family (and even they don’t really get it get it) so I just want to share with people going through the same season of life as us!

Thank you for listening!

How did your egg retrieval go? How are you recovering? I hope your egg retrieval yielded amazing results!

27 female (my birthday was actually the day before my egg retrieval so I guess technically 28 female), 29 male!

Falling pregnant??!

Has anyone fallen pregnant after getting off birth control before starting your IVF cycle? I haven’t been on birth control in over 10 years and am due to start IVF stims on Friday… could it be possible that my hormones were all over the place from the one month of birth control that there’s a possibility of pregnancy?
