Hello. My parents are in Los Angeles and my dad is getting worse and not talking much, can’t go outside without getting lost, gets lost inside his one bedroom apartment, etc. My mom was able to get him on Medi-Cal which is great but now we are starting to look for a memory care facility since the waitlist is so long.

We reached out to an agency that assists in matching people with care facilities but they don’t do it for Medi-Cal clients as they are compensated by the care facilities. I was wondering if anybody knows of an agency that could help locate a good facility that I could pay for directly.

Or if anybody has any personal recommendations of a memory care facility in the West LA-ish area that accepts Medi-Cal? My mom received a list of facilities from a social worker but none of them accept Medi-Cal patients. Feeling so overwhelmed. Thank you 🙏
