How paranoid do I need to be?

I purchased a shirt. The seller shipped me a shirt that was not what I’d purchased. Mercari approved the return and sent me a label.

Do I need to video or otherwise document the whole packing and shipping process? I don’t have any reason to be concerned that the seller would say that I sent back trash or something. We haven’t had any interaction.

I just want to return the item that is not what I purchased, get my refund, and move on. Then I see posts here about all kinds of drama regarding refunds, and wonder if I should be covering myself somehow. Is falsely claiming that I didn’t send back the item the worst thing the seller could do?

Annoyed with myself, free shipping threshold

Dammit! I added something, certain I’d met the free shipping threshold. I wanted to get my bundle shipped so I wouldn’t be tempted to add any more to it.

Now I’m pouring through coin purses and makeup bags and various other items, wondering whether it’s better just to pay the $8.99 or get a cheap item I don’t really need. Hoping to find something that is less than $8.99, ideally a lot less.

I could always get something from my extensive list of saved favorites, but I really was trying to exercise restraint in purchasing.

What would you do? And if you don’t know, feel free to commiserate with my frustration at myself.

Communicate with Seller re: Seel return?

Unfortunately the awesome jeans I bought did not work for me. I needed to do a Seel return and the jeans are packed up and ready to go to Seel.

What happens now? I feel really bad—the seller had been really nice about responding to my request for measurements, but those measurements on these jeans weren’t a match.

I’ve seen that I’m supposed to rate the transaction and the seller will get a great rating. Does Poshmark release funds? And then take them back because of the Seel return? What happens? I ship them to Seel and then Seel returns them to the seller?
