Question about seller protections if buyer requested address change through UPS after I shipped
Hello, I sold something expensive on PayPal G&S and bought my label through PayPal and shipped to the exact address on file. I checked the tracking a few hours after i shipped it today just to see the status and saw that the buyer "Address Change Requested Your package will be delivered to an alternate address."
My question is, do I have seller protection through PayPal if the buyer requests the address change and it gets delivered somewhere else. I'm guessing this is probably bad news for me because the address change was requested hours after I dropped off and the buyer made no comment to me about it.
Guessing I should call UPS and try and find out information about this and confront the buyer about it and maybe attempt a return to sender if I don't like the answer? Should I try package intercept no matter what the buyer says and then refund him after the package is back with me? Should I try and force UPS to deliver to the original address? Support line isn't open right now but I plan to call in the morning just to get some information.
Looking for advice, pretty worried about this and not sure what to do.
