this might get downvoted to all hell but- the non gear side of the original ofmega crank was completely stripped on both ends and not having a viable replacement… it now has a sr sakae arm that’s the same length (for now…). wheels aren’t original but what was on there was also god awful, but… the red and white is real nice. the cleanest part is a period…ish campy fd i nabbed on marketplace. white bartape is next once i figure out if the original modolo brakes are bad or not (the rear is way too stiff)

looking at a frame, the stickers look all to have been removed but it has ‘hand painted by sikkens’ as well as a braze on front derailleur - assuming that’s nicer (the lugs look cool too). the rear dropout looks to have a ///M (not a bmw lol) and C. does it ring any bells? tia!

thrift prices are not what they used to be… but for one this clean + motor drive and a 50mm and 28mm, i had to. paired with my xd7 and cle (the cle was an… expensive impulse)

reading up on dave kan’s diy guide, he had a 1985 535i with a normal 4hp22, not the 22eh model. so, guessing this is a eh specific cable. gonna just put it to the side for now, but guessing this is one of the ‘just cut it’ cables - the 9 prong on the other hand i know i have to jump to bypass park.

i hate to be the one asking ‘what is this’, and i generally think i’m okay with the google machine. but this has stumped me. bought it for gits and shiggles, but from what looks to be refinished original yellow to the awful peeling stickers, it looks very aftermarket. but the logo and crmo sticker look original. guess i’m a sucker for lugs, those caught my eye as older, at least.

if it’s trash? cool, parts bike. the panaracers look in great shape so i’ll use it on my bike, those alone paid me back for it. if not, no idea.

my miyata 710 was just too large to justify keeping. this trek 610 popped up, i’ve never had reynolds metal, so i offered the 710 in trade and bam. he got a frame more his size i got a frame more my size

i’ve done more research on shimano more than anything (looking to use a 7400 dura ace on my centurion build) so campy is way outta my ball park. but scored this 9 speed campy veloce for my girlfriend’s roadbike. using a blue 90s cannondale 2.8 alu frame + whatever else i end up picking out (or her picks). $50 for the groupset. good buy, or just meh parts with campagnolo stamped on it? (edit: a word)

put back in the original hdd which shockingly booted right to osx. but, now this. looking at other posts on this sub for password locked machines, single user mode isn’t really working for me

okay, so i may be writing about something already well written, but i’ve been through several forums + videos on it and i think i fixed what i initially did wrong. but now, it’s this.

- replaced hdd with 120gb ssd + sata to ide adapter
- had 9.2.1 burned onto dvd+r (didn’t work)
- 9.2.1 now burned onto cd-r (still doesn’t work)

is this a case where i need a proper install disc?

actually my third lol, but the two previous ones were a free and thrifted xg7. so this is my first nice minolta (a cle is calling my name…) came with a tokica 200mm f4 lens, but i had a 50mm f1.4 that i thrifted with one of the xg7s that i’ll use it with. desperately needs a cla though.
