Top Case replacement
After 15 years (or so) and thousands of miles, I finally took time to sort out why the Yamaha top case was so floppy.

So, Givi 47 and a mounting plate next?

99, base model with A/C
If I start off with A/C, it blows cold and stays cold. If I switch it to something else then I get really hot air and going back to a/c it never gets cold again. This is regardless of which vents I want the air to blow thru.
If I start with non-A/C and don't want heat, it's still super hot. As the weather gets warmer, that's annoying. During the winter, it was never this hot.
Is that a blend door issue? Or something more challenging to resolve?
I have a finished basement and the ceilings are 7ft, not 8 or higher. There's a current ceiling fan + light and it's ...fine. The lightbulbs are some specialty thing and they get really hot.
I'd like to replace it with a lower profile fan. I don't really use the lights if I can avoid it. I prefer a floor lamp anyway.
Are there decent options out there that can still move air adequately?
TIA
