I’m really big on physical media and ownership for movies and shows and unfortunately there’s no Blu Ray released but I did see there’s DVD releases of the show, either as an entire box set or individual seasons.

Only thing I’m worried about is significantly lower quality on DVD vs streaming. Does anyone have any physical copies of the show that can say if they can notice a difference?

I don’t have any paid streaming platforms and I know it’s free on Roku but it’s not on demand so I have to just watch whatever episode is playing.

I’m a mild movie/show collector and have always liked this show. I want to pick up the entire series collection and am wondering if Blu Ray is that much better or noticeably different than the DVD version? I prefer Blu Ray but also understand some movies and shows just don’t really matter or need the upscaling. I’d like to get the Blu Ray set but it’s still around $100

Just wondered your guys’s thoughts based on which version you have.

I’ve been growing consistently more anti-subscription and pro-physical ownership over the past few years. I talk to people occasionally about buying more physical media and books and most people like the idea but that doesn’t necessarily mean it would translate to people supporting it financially.

I’ve been considering maybe opening a shop space in the mall and selling books, movies, and physical music (CDs, vinyl).

I’ve heard there used to be a Hastings in Auburn but I missed out on that boat. I know there’s a few places around here like pawn shops or a game xchange, and there’s obviously Books a Million and Walmart, but I’m kind of looking to combine all of those offerings in one smallish shop.

I’m curious if y’all think a place like that could generate any interest in Auburn/Opelika and what you would want or look for in a physical media shop.

Best crust, best cheese, a little pricey but it’s reliably excellent.

Discuss.
